Because saying one died of covid complications while being fully vaccinated is a just means for more gov't control?

So Powell died from cancer rather than COVID?? Glad we agree.

Polio is not so much a killer than a debilitating disease.

So his cause of death is cancer then, eh? So his COVID vax didn't stop him from getting COVID, eh?

Another example of what a lowlife Trump is.

Correct. BUT you are now backpedaling from your prior statement of "stupidly exposing myself without any protection at all." --- Here, you are claiming that your immune system can't prevent covid AT ALL (unless you get vaxxed). You are denying the existence of the innate immune system. You are now also stuck in paradox until you clear it.

True, but let's not lose focus on your original claim's conclusion, which is that the innate immune system doesn't exist.

Vaccines were created as a way to forcefully expose yourself to a weakened or inactivated version of a disease in order to train your adaptive immune system to provide a much better response to the full blown disease upon natural exposure to it. This means that one typically won't get sick (or else only get mildly sick) upon exposure to that disease.

That is what conventional vaccines do. That is NOT what the COVID jab does.

If someone dares to oppose the great leader, like Powell did, Trump just can't help himself to go for the low blow. I don't know how Trump supporters can tolerate or even like this kind of behavior. It's not just politically incorrect, it is outright nasty.

My immune system can't fight off the AIDS virus, so this is why I chose to wear protection during sex in my younger, single years. Savvy?

I never stated that our immune systems don't exist, I stated that there are times where we need extra protection. Savvy?

What science background do you have? Can you share with all of us what the COVID vaccines do exactly? I already know what they do, and I will get my booster as soon as I am able to. I just want to read your explanation.

Yes. The more deaths they can attribute to the virus, the more the big Government types can say they need more control over our life.

Trump has morphed the Republican party into one of incivility as if that was a positive trait, with him as the leader, and anyone who opposes him, Trump tries to cancel.

    Okay, I'll try again.

Why is <whatever good qualities> about Powell ONLY an example to African American people?

Conversely, if Powell was white, would you say <whatever good qualities> were an example to ONLY white people (or to all people)?

There's no trickery or agenda here. I'm trying to show you how your thinking may be a bit myopic. And, I don't mean any disrespect.

No, you are reading way too much into my post. I said all minorities. Powell broke the barrier, that is not myopic.

I'm not reading into it. I read it.

WHY are you making the distinction that he was good role model for African Americans? Isn't a long-term, dedicated and honored public servant a role model for EVERYBODY?

You are really nitpicking that post. Of course he was/is a good role model for everybody, but my point was especially to minorities. To see a minority become the first Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and the first Secretary of State. To see a minority reach the highest echelons is important, in my opinion.

I don't know why he can't simply leave well enough alone. The man is dead, let it go.

I'm not nitpicking. I'm trying to suggest you might consider being more mindful of how statements can impact other people.

Sure, he was very well-respected as a part of our country's success AND he was a role model for African Americans.

I apologize if you feel attacked or nitpicked. That isn't my intent at all and I am sorry for any upset my comments on this have had on you.

Sorry to hear of General Powell's passing away. I was so proud of him when he broke with the Republicans and supported Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012. General Colin Powell is one of my heroes.
