That's the problem, these college kids are actively RESISTING other ideas. Were they actually interested in being exposed to other ideas, you wouldn't have some college burning itself down because of Milo Yanawhatevertheheckhisnameis, or the same thing going on with Coulter; they'd go in, listen, then ask questions and debate. Not go on a huge scream fest and haul protest signs around. Universities have become the exact OPPOSITE of what they're supposed to be.

Familiar at all with the career of OEWilson? he wasn't well recieved back in the day for his rather radical (at the time) ideas on bio-sociology. You can find dozens of instances of "resisting" ideas in universities in the past but every once in a while it becomes a partisan political issue in the present.

The preferred applicant is someone who went to college to learn - not to have a safe space to be outraged in, who was instilled with an understanding of free market capitalism - not a bitter longing for a mythical form of socialism that has never existed - and who graduated with skill in a meaningful professional domain - not a brainwashing in radical Leftist bigotry posted up behind the facade of a degree.

During my college years I worked for Reagan and was a big participant in local Republican politics in Texas, Ohio, and Florida. I never in my life voted for or supported any Democrat until I was 18 years out of college.

Maybe college is not the problem. Maybe your ideas are the problem.

Washington Post Magazine had an article when I lived in Maryland some years ago profiling three women who claimed that the business world was discriminating against women because they were nearing graduation and had not gotten any job offers. One of them majored in History of Far Eastern Religions. Another in "Women's Studies" the third had something equally useless to an employer that I don't remember.

So they majored in stupid stuff and couldn't understand why no company wanted to hire them and pay them big bucks. The only possible answer is discrimination against women. I weep for our future with lots of these airheads coming out of college.

What does seem to be happening, however, is the airheads with useless degrees seem to believe they are superior to the guy who apprenticed as an electrician and now has a useful, good paying job.

kids Seems a college education teaches to repeat the liberalism they have been indoctrinated with, without question or free thought.

My favorite thing is to see these unhinged college libs shouting at people, denying free speech while saying they are having their free speech stomped on because they can't interrupt. Should be very helpful in the real world.
