I'll take you up on debate. Name a date, time, and program. Who wants to be the moderator? Jango?

Sounds like a plan. If 'inside job' is keen, we should set up topic points, format and figure out a program to do it with so people can sit in. Would Skype work?

No, sorry. Could we stick to something like a chat service (which IIRC, has video capabilities) like AIM or MSN?

I haven't used MSN in years.. could be a go. Is it possible to have a 3 way video call on it?

That I don't know. If not, we might just have to stick to text only. Is that kosher with you?

If need be I guess, but video/audio would be preferred.

We'll see what we can do. That is, if Inside Job is willing to participate.

I think we tried that one time a while back. It didn't work out too well because of the constant interference by the shills, attempting to keep the conversation derailed and very clouded although not with video but, it was done here to predictable conclusion.

Hence why I will be 'moderator'. I will not tolerate such infractions! I run a tight ship, you know.

I'd be interested in watching the exchange out of curiosity's sake anyway.

I wouldn't object to that so long as you swore to be a silent observer?

I could do that. Can you keep the shills at bay too?

Depending on the format agreed upon, meeting software like gotomeeting, or turbomeeting would allow the moderator control of presenters and spectators. Spectators (and presenters) on the conference call could listen, but could be muted remotely by the moderator. The moderator could also have control of which presenter is viewed by the group.

Wouldn't it be better to have a 3rd party group run the actual debate, instead of someone with an agenda on either side?

While I appreciate the idea behind this possible online debate, I think the lead is being buried here. Does anyone really think Inside Job would ever agree to such a thing? Ever?

Considering how well he "responds" to directly quoted posts and all.........

It's conceivable that someone rooted in a conspiracy mindset would automatically go to ground because he suspects the government is trying to flush him out.

I have absolutely nothing to gain from this. I will be as impartial as:

I'd be up for it if the moderator could reasonably control things. It would be nice to debate, or watch a debate, without all the shill attempts at misdirection, derailing or interfering with. I'm very happy to watch without interruption. It's worth a shot.

Could we feed the mod questions for the mod to present without interrupting??

If this thing goes down, as I said earlier, and as I meant it then, I will do my best to maintain order. I think mutually agreed upon terms, like for example, me having the ability to mute someone, or something similar, when infractions are occurring. I further believe a running-tally should be kept for the times these infractions are cited, for final debate scoring purposes.

A process of feeding real time, unmolested questions would be beneficial. It would be for a more livelier debate, in my opinion. I think there should be some type of queue system that is agreed upon that I can follow, be it back-and-forth or one-two-three and then retort in order, what have you. Generally, the simpler, the better... you know, KISS, and all. Nevertheless, the decision for this process is not up to me, but I stand behind its implementation. Furthermore, if infractions are incurred when a question is being posed, I think it should reflect upon the final debate score.

Well, I'm interested in watching how it would go. How long out are we talking here? I MAY be able to have someone watching who could "help" with the questions posed and the responses given (quietly in the background, of course). Direct questions with direct answers. It IS possible (just not very likely). Please keep the thread updated if you can and maybe this thing can get off the ground. I'd love to see it.

Is 'inside job' taking up the offer? If so, perhaps we can organise a format and which topics/points to be discussed.

What if we use a voice program like Team Speak 3? No video, but people would be able to sit in and listen? TS3 has a recording function too, so we are able to post it after.

Has anyone contacted NEwaIJ? Is there any interest from him?
