    Well, like duh! ;-)
And our urban Hell Holes are all run by politicians - Democrats - in every instance. Many have been run right into the ground.

Yes, NYC, the "Rich Ghost Town" works well for those who can afford it. :)

LOL! I wopnder how many Republican mayors councilcritters, etc there are running our major cities? ;-)

“Bernie Madoff. It's a name now often bandied about when talking about the failing Dallas Police and Fire Pension fund. "The reality of it is that it was a Bernie Madoff type scheme," says Lee Kleinman, a city council member and former pension board trustee. The city has agreed to put in an additional billion dollars over 30 years, but they're proposing a series of bitter pills to make up the rest of the nearly $4 billion shortfall. The bitterest pill: A proposal to take back all of the interest police and firefighters earned on Deferred Option Retirement accounts, or DROP. That would amount to an additional billion dollars saved.”
ABC LOCAL, Dallas Police and Fire pension members may have to pay back funds, Tanya Eiserer, WFAA, January 05, 2017

The Paris model - push the poor to the periphery. Worked like a charm for them. ;-)

"But in the past five years, the problem of rising vacancies and monotony has actually gotten worse. It would be one thing if New York were simply trading eccentricity for accessibility—that is, knocking down fusty establishments to build new apartments with affordable housing. But the median home value in Manhattan is still over $1 million."

Governors do not run cities. They can send in the National Guard.
Is that what you think they should do?

No. They can sign laws that the legislature writes that apply to cities.

    Now.

    Deny that. Lol

No, just the people who used to run the boarded up small businesses and those to commute to and from the "Rich Ghost Town".

You really think a state legislature can run a city? Think that through Vegas.
The locals have to do it.

I'm just wondering if there is a poor ghost town. I think I would like to live in a ghost town but I don't have much money. My God is hilarious too!

Alas, Virginia there is no Santa Claus, and, no Vegas, state legislatures and governors do not run cities and towns.
    Surely you know that.

"In other words, commercial rents have ascended to an altitude where small businesses cannot breathe. Some of the city’s richest zip codes have become victims of their own affluence."
