Hamilton deliberately created a national debt at the beginning of the country, and we've run a debt almost constantly since.

Are you unwilling or unable to elaborate on your absurd fantasy?

I've been trying to get you to elaborate on your macroeconomic theory of permanent deficits. When are you going to post it?

There is a Democratic majority in the House. They can do this at any time.

Again, except for a few years, we've always run a deficit. So you're not currently in the real world.

And you don't want to tell us which kooky idea you got suckered into...

I’m okay with making a flat tax, or making a law that doesn’t allow people who make a net profit on federal tax to vote. But to claim 10% for 10% is enough it’s not. We need to increase taxes by 10 and reduce spending by 25. But I really think the answer to solving the problem is simple. Don’t allow anyone to vote that gets a profit from taxes.

Build back better should have been blocked. Support for that bill was support for inflation. Let’s not forget that the opposition was bipartisan

I never mentioned any idea. I simply said that I wouldn't discuss tax increases until we had a BBA. What kind of "theory" do you think that is? You were the one who posited that macroeconomics says that you don't balance budgets. I've been trying and trying to get you to explain your macroeconomic theory and you refuse? Why won't you simply explain your theory?

When you edit my replies to nothing, that seems to indicate that you've lost the argument. So you were never going to give me your macroeconomic theory of permanent deficits? It's almost as if you made something up and never thought you would be called on it!

Your replies are empty of content.

You don't want to say anything because you'll get laughed at.

But keep up the lying, maybe somebody, somewhere will believe you..

If you are going to accuse me of lying, shouldn't you at least have the courtesy to tell me what you think I lied about?

And you are still avoiding THE primary issue, your claim that macroeconomic theory allows for permanent deficits. When are you going to present that?

Maybe after you tell us which flavor of kooky economics you are.

    Vienna School, perhaps?

We ran deficits for over a century before macroeconomics was developed.

But that gives you the ammo to run on. Democrats could pass a major tax increase bill in the House, it gets killed in the Senate, and you can say that's why we need to turn the Senate blue, so we can raise taxes. The elections should be a snap after that.

yep, just like Trump during his midterms for health care

the reality is, the midterms are hardly ever good for a sitting President

going back to what the taxes were under Reagan would be a good thing

the country can't afford any more of the rights tax cuts for the rich, trickle down don't work

    Mandatory mention of Trump, check.

Didn't you oppose Trump's cap on the SALT tax?

Doubling down on Trump, no matter that it has nothing to do with the thread topic...check!

stating the facts, saying Biden will lose the midterms means nothing, Trump did too

now when a sitting President wins the midterms, that's outside the norm and says something - that said, I do not believe dems will win the midterms
