What law can you pass to stop criminals from being criminals?

I'm not a part of any problem. I've never even had a parking ticket.

I carry a gun because the government doesn't do it's job, and because the police are not required to protect me.

Please explain what law will keep guns out of the hands of criminals.

I've looked at the data, facts, and it sure seems like gun control was used as a historical tool to mass murder, and oppress.
It's also obvious there's no real correlation between gun ownership, and murder rates, just look at the gun ownership rates between countries.

Genetics are obviously the biggest factor in murders.
Almost all murderers have different brain development, and neurochemistry than non-murderers do.

    Sure.

Let the addicts kill themselves off.

How about legalizing heroin, but taxing it so high that almost no one can afford it.

    Problem mostly solved, no?

I'm waiting for Liberal Dupek to start railing to ban vehicles for emitting CO2, killing more people by accident than guns, and being used in terrorism.

No, that just fuels robberies and home invasions by desperate addicts. That's the situation we're already in.

If it was say 10X more expensive, then how would heroin addicts even start the habit?

Besides, taxes generated from it could come in handy.

I don't personally own guns, or take illegal drugs.

But, it seems that banning them isn't very effective.

When it comes to Beer though, I'd be mega pissed if prohibition came back, though.

I love beer, it tastes awesome, especially good beer.

Most addicts get started by being given "free" drugs by drug dealers to get them hooked, or they get hooked on prescription painkillers by doctors, or by those who are engaged in criminal lifestyles already.

I don't really like to be around drugs, or guns.

But, guns have a purpose, to be self sufficient, in hunting, or protecting your house, or nation.

It seems heroin is for gluttonous jerks, mostly.

Opiates shouldn't be used by those without physical pain.

With that said, it seems like making drugs illegal does little to deter people.
Imprisoning people for drugs actually costs us money, and of course we could instead tax drugs to make money, instead.

So, yes despite being rather anti-drug, I kind of support legalizing them.

But, with guns, I'm more concerned, considering how tyrants so often disarmed those they oppressed, or mass murdered.

Guns are only dangerous if someone is incapable of keeping their finger off the trigger, pointing at other people, and not checking to see what condition it is in (loaded/unloaded). Most gun accidents occur when people either fail to observe those simple things, or use an inappropriate holster (or no holster at all).

Even so, they only account for 0.4% of all fatal accidents.

Violent murderers and rapists, gun or not, are still violent murderers and rapists and will commit their crimes regardless.

If we adopted Operation Exile at a national level, gun crime would plummet.

How is it different than what they are already doing?

Right now they kill others in order to get drugs to kill themselves.

If they were legal and cheap, the only person they would be harming is themselves.

Sure they do. Lot's of people think drugs should be legalized.

In fact, you just suggested we should do it.

As usual, you talk without comprehension.

It was even one of Gary Johnson's planks

    http://observer.com/2016/02/this-pr...hinks-all-drugs-should-probably-be-legalized/

Not to mention, of course, the number of countries that have already legalized it.

When you make such assertion, you should do a bit of research first...

    http://nationalreport.net/colorado-considering-legalization-heroin-methamphetamines/

Other countries have decriminalized even heroin with interesting results...

I watched him sit there with the green light on for about 5 minutes, then it went out.

Then I had a good laugh.

Humans can kill with guns, kill with vehicles, emit CO2, use drugs, abort babies.

When are Humans going be "Banned"????

I mean, wouldn't that solve everything?

The truth is, the penalties for murder are already very severe.

If someone is going to ignore the penalties for murder, there's not a law that man can create they will observe.

If we truly wanted to combat violent felons, we'd start giving them 5-10 years when they are caught having a firearm in their possession.

It worked in Richmond under Operation Exile. It can work in the rest of the country too.

How can I be wrong? I made no statement regarding heroin. I responded to your following blanket assertion..with articles...but, clearly some in Col Gov have been thinking of such an alternative.
