Well, well. Admittance our gov'ts have been bought and paid for. What's weird is one of the biggest users of crony capitalism is calling for an end. Something doesn't smell right. Not much detail in the story. Why the change of heart? Because they are old and have had their fun sticking it to the average American? DANA POINT, Calif. - Billionaire industrialist Charles Koch is challenging a group of roughly 450 like-minded conservative political donors to advocate for ending "corporate cronyism" - policies that in many cases help their businesses. Along with his brother David, Koch has long pressed for a federal government that collects fewer taxes and issues fewer regulations.
yes corporate cronyism sure is a bad thing. Of course Koch's "solution" is a whole lot worse for everyone other than his detestable corporations who gladly engaged in cronyism and would be only too glad to cast of the "shackles" of regulation, since regulations are profit killers and just "get in the way" of operations. I'd go along with less regulation if, like in China, the penalty for knowingly producing tainted or dangerous products and white collar crimes like stock manipulation is death. that'd should thin the herd of greedy corporate bastards who put profit ahead of principles/ethics, pretty damn quick. John Birch Lives.
I wonder why now, the Koch's would like to end crony capitalism? It makes no sense. Do they figure they have bought enough politicians and now don't want others to be able to do what they do?
Now the Koch's are interviewing. How's that an end to crony capitalism? The Koch brothers' political network of wealthy donors this weekend auditioned five GOP presidential candidates, another sign of billionaires' increasing political clout. http://www.npr.org/2015/08/03/42906...p-candidates?utm_medium=RSS&utm_campaign=news
No, demand for change that will go absolutely nowhere, is a great tactic to "reposition" themselves while still enjoying all the bennies of cronyism and making huge contributions toward same.
