    The longest time of peace in the area.
    Even back to Biblical times.

    Sure they allowed local gov't, but collected taxes and did not allow
    civil strife between groups within the Ottoman domain.

    Schools of learning.
    Academia.
    Sadly the Sultans were born and raised in an insulated situation and
    the writing was on the wall when they insulated themselves from the
    world rather than continue to absorb the world's sciences.
    The Siege of Vienna and Suleiman the Magnificent. What a high water mark.

    It never was!

    The Science and Medicine attributed to the Arab World
    was really Turk. Si?
    The translations of manuscripts that kept the ancient Greek philosophers in our library.

    It doesn't work that way.
    First you have to re-write it, and write out apostacy.

    Gotta stop them from praying 5 times a day. total brainwashing.

    Because my country has a Constitution and is much better off than the Middle East. I see several problems across the Arab World and possible solutions to those problems.
