Ms. Babbitt's death was AbsaByGodLutely NOT a homicide.

A Grand Jury was not indicated after three other in independent investigations.

I think three independent investigations and miles of public video prove nothing was covered up.

Your imagination is not a real argument. She didn't need to cross the police barricade protecting the evacuating lawmakers, who the violent mob behind her (which she encouraged to follow) were threatening after assaulting over 100 police officers. No reasonable person could assume she was just crossing to protest. She was already protesting. The lawmakers were already fleeing from the violent mob that she was trying to lead through the window.

As police officer he is required to give a statement if he uses lethal force under color of law and is claiming it is justified. He DID NOT INVOKE THE 5th AMENDMENT, read the OP article!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any killing of a human by another human is a homicide.

    Homicide
    Primary tabs
Homicide is when one human being causes the death of another. Not all homicide is murder, as some killings are manslaughter, and some are lawful, such as when justified by an affirmative defense, like insanity or self-defense.
    https://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/homicide

The question is whether it was justified as a use of lethal force. How can there be a complete investigation when they don't even question the shooter? Like if self defense, the shooter has to prove their affirmative defense. In police shootings the officer has to justify their use of that force. He refused and was allowed to get away with and was not even suspended and fired for not cooperating with the investigation.

I mean the majority of federal elected persons who run the government, and a goodly portion of the presidential succession, were physically present cowering in that room from an angry mob.
So yeah that's a threat to national security.
For legal reasons this is a joke: Yes, exactly.

Breaking and entering alongside a mob into a nat sec area per se constitutes such a threat, try to keep up.

I mean, you won't find me endorsing any of the rioting seen whether during the 'peaceful but fiery' period or this one or during the Trump inauguration etc. Go ahead and dig up a quote if you think you've got the minerals. Otherwise you can stop humping that strawman. You want to break and enter on the floor of congress with a mob? You can expect to get shot in the head. You want to throw molotovs and fight with cops? You should expect to be shot in the head.
You do what a lot of posters do when confronted with someone who disagrees with them: You go for a whataboutism based on whichever political viewpoint is the polar opposite of your own. Because, in your mind and in the mind of other posters who engage in this behavior, no one could possibly disagree with you unless they were a partisan for the 'other' side.
What you don't grasp is that there are more than 2 sides, and I'm not on either of the 2 sides you're able to perceive. SO when you say "but whatabout the other guy" I say: In to the paddy wagon with the lot of you.

You need to show where, at any other time, Congress was under imminent threat like they were during the assault on the Speakers Lobby.

He was interviewed by his superiors and gave his recollection of what happened. Sorry it doesn't satisfy you an the Federalist.

Not a chance. It's a consistent MO IMO. The goal posts made of straw will move of course! :D

What do you think the police officer should have done? Wave her in, together with the mob? Check her first, to see if she was armed or not? Oh, wait, there was no time for that.

BTW: Others in the mob were beating police officers. You can hardly make the point that there was NO IMMINENT threat.

I am still wondering, though, why do you feel the need to excuse those 1/6 rioters? What's your agenda behind this?

By con logic, if he wasn’t charged then it didn’t happen

Sorry, I don’t make the rules

(and no — even legally it was not murder as the crowd was a threat to public safety which authorized lethal force)

We know why he did so. The crowd was a threat to public safety. They had breached a building with the stated intent of harming congressional lawmakers.

If someone hops the fence at the white house do you believe they are asked nicely to stop?

When you refuse to give a statement, you are invoking the 5th. You only have to say "On advice of counsel I exercise my right to remain silent and invoke my 5th amendment right" is at trial when formally asked.

Anyone who breaches the White House illegally should just be assumed to want a hug, even if they are encouraging a violent mob that has already beaten police and chanted death threats to follow them. Obviously.

There is AbsaByGodLutely NO question Ms. Babbitt's shooting was justified.

What coverup? She was shot trying to break into the Capitol during a violent confrontation.
    So what?
Seemed lawful to me. Sometimes you don't get a "do-over" when you break the law.

Got the attention on the other Trumper rioters, didn't it?

    Byrd was justified.
The Federalist is a far rightwing rag.

Do you ever use legit news sources?

    What are you afraid of?...
As this has went right over your head....
we could also see "the video" from the Capitol security camera in the same room as Byrd that would show his actions and reactions the moment he pulled the trigger, but that video or any other Capitol video for that day has been denied to the public, let's say from Pelosi for giggles... anybody could make their own judgement from there...

. . . you do realize that there is already video, available to the public, showing his actions and reactions the moment he pulled the trigger, right? Of course you didn't.

Glad to see rightwing crying over a Capitol rioter didn't win the day, just like it was good to see Kyle Rittenhouse was allowed to defend himself.
What do blacks have to do with this? Answer: nothing.

The woman was not "innocent." You're as bad as the leftwingers going after Rittenhouse.
