No, the hysteria is manufactured for political purpose. Mankind is not going to disappear because of Covid and getting it is not a death sentence for most of us. Even for most of us who are elderly and managing chronic health problems. The disease is real but the hysteria is not well founded.

Think of it this way - the odds of you ever having to use a gun to protect your family from home invasion are about
1 in 10 million, but you probably have justified having a gun in the house for that purpose. The odds of getting Covid and suffering
major health issues is far more probable, but you call it "hysterical" to worry about it ...

No, worrying about it or the flu is normal human behavior. Restruction life and reality for this is hysteria. Be concerned, take precautions you feel good with and get on with your life and leave others to do the same.

As the saying goes - your rights end where my nose begins ... if you're coughing on me, you're not "leaving me to go
    on with my life ...".

Hysteria never helps anything. However, I am not hysterical and I am surrounded by the same hysteria as everyone else. I think one has to choose hysteria over common sense. The political purpose is power and control as it always is. People should be able to ignore that and be guided by the facts or, in this case, the science.

I think we agree but we have to be prepared for whatever evidence we are swayed by to be disputed and rejected by some and that's ok too.

The measures to prevent Covid infection aren't all that rational when:
    (1) One considers economies are shut down perpetually from those 'prevention measures'.
    (2) One considers everyone will be perpetually quasi-quarantined from those 'prevention measures'...Er, the non-political elite will be perpetually quasi-quarantined.
    (3) One considers psychiatric health is greatly in danger from those 'prevention measures'.
    (4) One considers sociological health is greatly in danger from those 'prevention measures'.
    (5) One considers having to get vaccinated perpetually from those 'prevention measures'.
    (6) One considers having to produce a vaccination passport perpetually from those 'prevention measures'.
    (7) One considers that getting vaccinated doesn't reduce the risk of increased number of cases...Of course, we could just think rationally and not worry about number of cases.

Side note: I mean, one could also worry about too much CO2 in the atmosphere causing an imminent climate change catastrophe even there isn't any environmental scientific evidence showing that too much CO2 in the atmosphere causes imminent climate change catastrophe. I'd call the imminent climate change catastrophe scam and the Covid vaccination scam as currently major and highly expensive scams. I'd also like to say that one should strive to stay away from scams. I'd also like to say we currently live in the age of misinformation.

BTW Daniel if your icon picture is a picture of you and said icon appears to be young and in good health, I'd say you don't have all that much to worry about with a Covid infection. Don't worry (about things there's no need to worry about) be happy.

And not only do they choose hysteria, they impose it on others.
