Soon, at 570,000 deaths, we will have lost the equivalent of the entire State of Wyoming.
The vaccine is supposed to keep you alive and it's being given the many senior citizens znd elderly first so there won't be that many deaths like there has been last year.
U.S. COVID-19 deaths surpass 500,000
Now There is a milestone....
Does wearing two masks provide more protection? (msn.com)
It all depends on what the situation would be.
But overall YES!
You got the idea. Did you know there are those out there that don't and won't do it.
Covid Vaccines Work. They Likely Also Reduce Transmission (msn.com)
I hope that reducing the transmission of the pandemic is true.
Even though those that get the COVID-19 vaccine, should not not have to throw away the masks yet. They will still be needed. There is still that chance that even though you got the shot, you'll still test positive but it won't be that bad and you won't die from it that easy. It's still best to keep the masks on for safety purposes.
Oh yes. I've followed the thread. The idiots that know better than the scientists.
The idiots that don't know better but have plenty of attitude. Masks are here to stay for some time. Until the majority of the population is vaccinated and we have some form of "heard immunity"....... they will be a fact of life.
Double masking is definitely better.
The folks that refused to wear masks for some crazy political reason......... contributed to the number of deaths in this country.
A pandemic is a community problem.......and everyone needs to be part of the solution. The virus could care less about a persons political views. It is an equal opportunity destroyer.
While we're on the subject. (Sort of) Mrs Tigger and I are starting to look at booking a main holiday this year. I love America and would love to visit.
What's your thoughts on the Covid situation over there by September. And how about politically?
We were thinking of two possible routes.
1, NY, Niagara, Denver and around the Rockies
2, Ny Niagara Seattle and driving up to Bansk.
We intend to do both, so don't mind which we do first
Some of those that don't and won't wear the masks don't care if they get sick or not.
Colorado can be beautiful that time of year.
Let me know if you go. Maybe I can get my oldest son to fill you up with cold beer and take you fly fishing.
I'm an optimist, so I think Covid and Trump will be in the rearview mirror.
One-dose J&J COVID-19 vaccine meets criteria as safe and effective, FDA report finds (msn.com)
You have to think whether those one shots would be more effective than the two.
That is a very persuasive picture.
Not sure about fly fishing, but a cold beer is always welcome, whereabouts does your buy live (roughly)
He lives in the mountains above the town of Drake Colorado.
It's about 1/2 way between Loveland CO. and Estes Park.
Estes Park is a great tourist trap to visit. Lot's of little shops and restaurants.
Nursing home COVID cases have drastically declined
that is the right trajectory.
It's what you cal a step in the right direction.
Oooh, @Tigger2, if you go see ronv’s kin, rent a motorcycle in Denver or Loveland (not sure if Loveland has motorcycle rentals) and take your wife to Estes Park on the back. She will be thrilled! You can make the trip in about 1/3 the time it takes in a car. That’s one of the best stretches of highway for riding anywhere. Maybe not combined with the beer though....LOL
Ronv, that’s beautiful country, your son picked a great place.
Last time I was there he took me fishing on the Colorado river.
I walked across it.
In the spring the ground around his place is covered in wildflowers.
My wife wants to try fly fishing. I think I would enjoy it as well. Just sitting fishing waiting for something to happen bores me. Fly fishing where you take a more active role I think I could handle.
Stop. You are making me miss the mountains!
Pfizer begins trials testing third dose of Covid vaccine (msn.com)
You have to wonder what a third will do. I would have thought two would be enough.
Look at this! How many cars do you see or do you think you see there in this picture? They are all waiting for their shot of the vaccine and how long would be the wait? If you were to say it could take all day, You might be right. Would you afford the time to wait for the vaccine? Think about it.
