‘The last thing we need is Neanderthal thinking’: Biden blasts Texas, Mississippi for ending mask mandates, loosening restrictions

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...0.SBO45tHfruFODiGzsRfvsIkdwOAjIY293W-hoOI2CR0

    He is right.

Wrong move on Texas and miss. part. The politicians are appeasing the votes. and ignoring the health of same voters. Where there s an uptick in cases and deaths ....it is on those same (Neanderthal ) - politicians. It is way too early to unmask..or reduce protocols.

Maybe Biden ought to go to South Dakota and Montana and complain to governors Kristi Noem and Greg Gianforte.

IMO there is some politics going on here. As the EU is struggling to get supplies it is convenient to say they are suspended for other reasons.
We have already seen similar things in France and Germany that then quietly disappear.

These vaccines are so new. Some unexpected "side effects" might come into play. We just need more time and constant evaluation. and data gathering.

"Reports of blood clots received so far are not greater than the number that would have occurred naturally in the vaccinated population."

March 11, 2020: The Day Everything Changed

    https://www.npr.org/2021/03/11/9756...ampaign=news&utm_id=57917635&orgid=&utm_att1=

Hard to beleive it has been a year.......and yet it feels a lot longer

Hoping with fervor that a year from now we all will be in a much better place.

In general the numbers are getting better........and let's hope they continue in that trajectory.

This seems to call for a moment of reflection.......... in memory of all those that have passed from this awful virus.

I drove past a restaurant today and the parking lot was pretty much full. I don't know whether that would be the right thing to do that would too early. Maybe many more restaurants will have full parking lots in the weeks and months to come. Now that the COVID 19 may soon be on its way out.

    First of all: no panic.
    Then ... ok panic!

I'm joking [this was "viral humor"!].

Seriously we can say that there have been problems [a mas has died in Italy, just to add an other negative case], but statistically they are irrelevant. Looking at numbers, the AstraZeneca vaccine is safe, like the others.
Anyway it's important to underline this "little problem" because we have to be aware that a vaccine is not the Grail.
We will have to deal with side effects in the brief term an with potential structural problems in the long term. But it's still early to think about this.

    Like your virtual humor.!! ;-)

You are right.......it is still early days. ...and we need to be prepared for the unexpected.........and even set backs. But so far the light is getting a bit brighter now.

Now that almost a year has past, dealing with COVID-19, This Pandemic is supposed to be under control I just hope. Plenty of events were cancelled because of it and We got ourselves a new President that will do something about it. The Previous one said like nothing to worry about. We were led into a fantasyland of wishful thinking and it only got worse. You know what I'm talking about
