Could a breathalyser help detect COVID-19? Indonesian scientists say they've developed one

Seems our clever neighbours to the north have found a solution to mass testing. They are one of the countries that have been hit hard so this looks to be a game changer for them but I am hoping that they start exporting this technology as it might help reopen international travel

It would be wonderful if the Indonesian scientists could show us and the world the actual coronavirus they used to develop the test.

Nobody else has been able to grow one in a Petri dish. Maybe the Indonesians managed it, or maybe it's a potential money-making scam.

Such an awesome idea. If we had means of fast on sight testing we could deploy it at every school, every grocer, every sporting area, everywhere and use it as a means to admit/deny patrons. But it does make me wonder just how sick one has to be in order to trigger it. If I catch the virus on my lunch break by dinner I'm more than capable of infecting others but would this detect it? I guess really any extra tool in our kit is good at this point.

    Our kit? LOL

Our kit for the last year has been fear-mongering, deception and tests never designed for diagnostic purposes.

"Our kit" sounds more like an imaginary Christmas Wish List.

Not sure but thus is such a new idea that we might just have to wait and see

I'd rather go to prison than have someone shove that tip up my nose, so here's hoping this idea works out.
