Oh so the Star found Putin's money. Darn it! Poor Ekaterina, now she'll have to dance again to support him.

now that media sources have gone all tabloid, there's no point in starting topics on news stories, it rather should be banned on this forum.

Of course the pro-Russian posters on this board will say Putin will go on. But Putin is not elected he's a dictatorship.

If Putin wants to step aside gracefully I'm all for it. But he's going to have to do it in a way that Russia won't come after his money if he quits. I guess he'll have to seek asylum in America or something. ;)

Moscow needs a coup like Ukraine, that way Nuland and Pyatt can choose a real 'democratically' elected president for Russia.

Boy, don't you wish Ukraine had someone like Putin. Those mafias would be toast... or rather they would be in Washington giving out money for propaganda and another coup.

Anyway as long as Vladimir Putin is in, there is still hope for peace in the world. Without him, who knows?

Boy, you really ARE a Russian troll (kidding),

Seriously, you really think someone who would help TRUMP to get elected is interested in World Peace? i read a bio of him. In many ways he's like if OO7 was Russian and had went into politics after being a spy (which Putin was, and the head of the KGB no less, in many ways a younger Andropov but not so evil, thank god). He likes to take risks and play games, the more dangerous the better, that makes him an interesting person, maybe, but a really bad world leader. Still, who are we to talk, our guy is like that but he's flat out stupid, downright evll and certifiably NUTS too. We live in interesting times indeed, it seems

I thought Vladimir Putin wanted Hillary for president, since she was so easily bought.
By the way, what you posted about Putin wanting to retire was a bunch of lies, and if you don't have the discernment to know what is fake news and what isn't, then your judgment must be faulty in everything. I suggest you don't trust yourself anymore. Ask me, it's much smarter.

Anyway here's some non fake news about Putin:

Putin can't retire. He might be able to control the next guy, but the guy after the next guy might want Russia's money back.

Do men like Putin ever relinquish control? They are usually dragged kicking and screaming from their positions of power. Eg Mugabe

Russia's money is in the only nation that doesn't extradite criminals... providing they pay one million dollars.

Do you think they'll be dragging Merkel from office? I think she's been in office longer than Putin? Oh that's right, we're supposed to be demonizing Putin.

The trouble is with people/dictators as these....is that they are under the perception that they think they are right and the rest of the world is wrong, even though their countries human rights' are spalling, standard of life, etc. And that's why get get violently overthrown, deposed, or killed!

Our western neoliberal Gilded Age 2.0 capitalists taught russia and Putin very well, did they not? They learned very well from our oligarchy capitalism and emulated us very, very well. With a little bit of russian genetics to season the soup well.

I doubt Putin will retire anytime soon to enjoy his great oligarchy wealth. Like all men who love their power, he is addicted to it and would find it hard to give that up. I have no doubt he is very rich, using his position of power to get it, but I doubt we actually know how much he is worth and you could always expect hyperbole on our part. And should I hold this against him when our own leaders enrich themselves by the abuse of their power, as they extort money from the elites they only represent as well as the wealth they eventually get from the bribes of the same people that they extort? Sure our own rulers use a different means, but they are just like Putin. I am against this, whether it be putin or our own rulers, but I have to acknowledge that all of these rulers, or most of them, do this kind of thing. Putin is just perhaps more overt in what he had done. Did not have to be as sneaky. Hell, just look at the number of millionaires with our own ruling class! That is what great power yields and always has. I just think we saw less of it in the yesteryear of our history.

He also seems to have the backing of his own people. Regardless it is better than the communist USSR. From the looks of the behaviour of the dems and their DNC, these democrats would be fine with rigging in a dictatorship, for they had no qualms about pissing all over democratic principles in the primaries. So we see a bit of Putin in the democrats. A fine banana republic they would give us if they could get away with it. So when they did get caught, of course they had to blame it on russia and putin. Sound like something Putin would have done, as well as the robbery of Seth Rich, where the robbers killed him but took nothing but his life. Of course if Rich was murdered because he was the insider who leaked to assange, then we have ourselves a party that works just like Putin. The point is, Putin isn't the only greedy scumbag in the world as we have quite a group of them ourselves. And by pointing him out, this takes some of the heat off our own scumbags. Kinda like what the hillary controlled DNC did when they colluded with state actors in russia via Steele, but then accused trump of collusion with them, in order to take eyes off of themselves. This seems to be common in DC. lol. What you are guilty of, you accuse the other party or other candidates of doing what you are doing. lol I think Putin is simply copying our rulers and learning from them, for after all, we, our rulers, have this down to a science.

Well if Putin is lying I'd rather here his lying than our warmongering. I am pro living troops.

Trump ran on no more wars with foreign involvement, then dropped 'Mother Of All Bombs' on 8 soldiers fighting ISIS.

Don't believe western propaganda. Vladimir Putin doesn't have money... and the Russians know it. Washington has been searching to find this 'alleged' money for more than ten years, but it just doesn't exist.

Sharon Tennison who worked in Russia for thirty years met Vladimir Putin when he was a bureaucrat in Saint Petersburg. Here are some excerpts from her article about him:

"...He simply and kindly showed us to the door. Out on the sidewalk, I said to my colleague, "Volodya, this is the first time we have ever dealt with a Soviet bureaucrat who didn't ask us for a trip to the US or something valuable!" I remember looking at his business card in the sunlight - - it read Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. .."

"...Afterward when we were chatting, I remarked, "You might be interested to know that I've collected experiences of Putin from numerous people, some over a period of years, and they all say they had no negative experiences with Putin and there was no evidence of taking bribes". He firmly replied, "No one has ever been able to come up with a bribery charge against Putin."

"So what do you think of your new president?" None responded negatively, even though at that time entrepreneurs hated Russia's bureaucrats. Most answered similarly, "Putin registered my business a few years ago". Next question, "So, how much did it cost you?" To a person they replied, "Putin didn't charge anything". One said, "We went to Putin's desk because the others providing registrations at the Marienskii were getting 'rich on their seats.'"

"...I arrived in St.Petersburg. A Russian friend (a psychologist) since 1983 came for our usual visit. My first question was, "Lena what do you think about your new president?" She laughed and retorted, "Volodya! I went to school with him!" She began to describe Putin as a quiet youngster, poor, fond of martial arts, who stood up for kids being bullied on the playgrounds. .."

Surely you jest? Our media and gov't demonizes him and says he eats new born infants for breakfast.

Of course I know nothing of the man outside of what our MSM and gov't tells us. But as with other things our propaganda outlets says, I always figured if you read it in MSM or heard it from out gov't, you should believe the opposite. Especially when it comes to Putin.

Yet Bush Jr. says he was an ok kinda guy. For he looked into pooty's eyes and saw a good soul. So, who are we to believe?

Putin is no threat to me, to my family or to my country. The greatest threat that I can perceive, is not even islamic terrorism, for I doubt they will come to my country home and do a suicide on me. Anyways, if anyone comes snoopin' around my place, my collie will let me know by barking, and the geese will start their hissing and my 1911 Colt will give me some sense of security. And so the greatest threat IMO, comes from my own gov't, and what they will do for me, on my behalf, without ever asking me. But that isn't all. Unlike Putin, my rulers, the political elite here, have stripped away so many constitutional rights and they tell me it is for my own security. They took away all my rights for privacy, with our post 1984 National Security State, Putin didn't do that.

In fact, Putin hasn't done a thing to harm me or america. But if you listen to our gov;t and MSM, the great and evil Putin is gunning for america and gunning for you. He is so dangerous that we must surround him with NATO, and if a nation does not want to do that, we will help stage a coup to take out the bastard, and insert one that will not have good relations with russia. This is our forte for we have decades of experience in doing such things. Of course we would raise cane if russia did this, for after all, only the US is allowed to do such illegal acts. And we feel entitled to be able to live above the law because we are after all a good nation, and only do good in this evil world. And so if we do it, it is in the interest of the GOOD, and it really is in the best interests of the People here. So our gov;t is doing good in our name. But anything and everything that russia might do, even if it appears to be good, must be evil. For russia and putin are an evil nation, so it is impossible for them to do anything but the greatest evil. And this must be true because my gov;t and our MSM tells us so. And both are bound by a code of honor which makes lying impossible to do.

Putin can't quit... it would leave him vulnerable to prosecution should the next person in charge decide to hold him responsible for the theft of billions. The only way is to stay or appoint someone from his inner circle
