Could there really be a Bombshell, about to Drop, from the Jan. 6 Committee?

Congress had just allotted themself a lengthy two-week vacation for the racist holiday of the 4th of July and now they pull this?

That tells me that they need a big distraction from something that they have done some dirty deed coming to light

Cassidy Hutchinson. Mark Meadows aide. She fired her attorney ( Trump loyalist) a while back. I was wondering when these administration folks would get serious about protecting themselves. Threats against her and others escalating. So there’s heightened security today. If you’ve tried to attend hearings you won’t get in today.

 

No ... we have one branch of government overreaching their authority into another branch... judicial, legislative, and executive... their constitutional duty is legislative investigations, not executive investigations...their duty WOULD include investigating why the Capitol Police and the overseers Pelosi and ilk failed at their duty to provide security and not allow Jan. 6 to even happen.. they failed at their jobs, no excuse.

 

She was the one to share the names of those looking for pardons. I think for them to bring about this hearing so quickly, she must have brought new information. But we're all just guessing...

 

Just yet more BS about Trump might have done this, wanted to do that, could have done this, thought about doing that. I was thinking about this earlier today. The Democrats spent months and years thinking about, talking about, and coming up with ideas on how to remove a legitimate president from power. Where are the hearings for those Democrats?

 

What's missing from Hutchinson's testimony is any cross examination of her testimony. Her testimony would be easily torn apart by a first year lawyer if this was a real hearing.

 

Go ahead and get excited, I think you are about to get Schiffed. I remember all the dims so excited that Schiff has concrete evidence that he going to release, never happened and materialized. They are just pointing at squirrels for hapless democrats, to cover the inept job they are currently doing. Can't blame them it works so well on people who are slow on the uptake.

 

Just got this alert. This completely kills the lie that his hands are clean. This shows that he knew they were armed. Add that to his refusal to move a muscle to get back-up and stating that Pence deserved to be hanged.

Even if you take it at face value, it means nothing. But, most of it was heresy. My God, Trump grabbed for the steering wheel. Set up another impeachment!

 

I wonder about that (especially since she wasn't in the limo). Don't they usually have a glass partition separating the driver from the passengers in such vehicles (especially since sensitive conversations might take place inside which drivers shouldn't hear).

That's usually true but I don't know about "the beast". In any event, not only that, but her entire testimony was heresy.

It was some of the most damning testimony we've heard so far, but most of it seems uncorroborated at this point, so I doubt it will stick.

It's a lot easier to give testimony when you know it won't be challenged.

This lady is just full of crap. Like I said, even if you take things at face value they mean nothing and you can't even take them at face value. They really hyped this up. Apparently this is the best they've got.

Trump tried to grab the steering wheel (through the bullet proof glass partition), as if trying to grab a steering wheel is against the law

Trump wanted to go to the Capital to be with his supporters, like that is a crime

Trump was willing to let armed people come through more easily because he wasn't afraid his life was in danger. Again, not a crime.

Weapons were not used to harm anyone by protesters. In fact, the only real weapon fired was the police shooting an unarmed Trump supporter who was no danger to them. So, I guess Trump was right.

 

If this amounted to the Committee's "Hail Mary" shot they lost the game. They're so desperate to make it look legit they basically turn the reins over to Cheney to lead the charge. Pathetic dog and pony show!

 

Trump attempted to overthrow the election. This matters. The committee is adding to the details of that attempt. I'm glad Cheney is leading the charge on that, or that anyone at all is. But there is nothing more pathetic than continuing to support Trump after this attempt.

 

Democrats have tried to overturn an election in the past. The procedure is outlined in the Constitution.

 

No, it isn't. And pushing for a recount isn't "overturning" anything. Try actually reading the Constitution one day, though Trump could obviously never be bothered. His plot was not "outlined in the Constitution" in any way. Much the opposite. Even his own staff advised him about this. Even Pence.
