Turns out DDT is still the only economically viable life saver in most of the world.

Incorrect. DDT is not used on nets. Your link clearly states there are only two approved chemistries. Pull quote here:
“Only two insecticides classes are approved for use on ITNs (pyrroles and pyrethroids).”

DDT is used primarily used as an indoor residual.

Two studies and an article about the findings that might shed new light on Covid19 and potential treatments.

    The puzzle of MIS-C

For Parents: Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C) associated with COVID-19

    What we know about MIS-C
Multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C) is a condition where different body parts can become inflamed, including the heart, lungs, kidneys, brain, skin, eyes, or gastrointestinal organs. We do not yet know what causes MIS-C. However, we know that many children with MIS-C had the virus that causes COVID-19, or had been around someone with COVID-19. MIS-C can be serious, even deadly, but most children who were diagnosed with this condition have gotten better with medical care.

Thanks for this and I have seen tgis before only they were talking primarily about TB vaccine. Trouble is that the research supporting innate immunity is mostly in children who we give these vaccines to. There are some ethical considerations surrounding a trial for these vaccines but given that we will need billions of doses to reach global immunity then it might be worth trying anything at this point

I found the article interesting, considering the low death rates in Germany. Germany has very high rate of immunization for all the childhood diseases.
For example I, the sixty and older, have been vaccinated against 6 diseases and for several twice. As a 18 year old I had a very bad case of the flew and have never again had the flew. If, it was never more than a oversized cold, for a day or two.
Very simple I do not get sick, I mean sick sick.

What I thought interesting how immunizations help to built up the strength of the immune system.

By the way I was 6 times vacinated against Polio. the sugar cube.
    Just checked my vaccination passport

This innate immunity does not last unfortunately. But they have been positing it as it may buy time. I would like to see one of the poorer high density countries trial it - especially the TB vaccine as we already have a massive global issue with drug resistant TB

Yes it does not last. But as the article mentioned it does strengthen the overall immune system.
Yes Germany reacted fast and hard, has probably the best health care system. But they have still around 170,000 cases, but only around 9000 dead. Countries with the same case amount have 4 or 5 times as many dead.
I always wondered about those surprising numbers.

Inside the body, the coronavirus is even more sinister than scientists had realized

An electron microscopy image of a cell infected by the coronavirus that causes COVID-19. (UC San Francisco )

The new coronavirus’ reputation for messing with scientists’ assumptions has taken a truly creepy turn.

Researchers exploring the interaction between the coronavirus and its hosts have discovered that when the SARS-CoV-2 virus infects a human cell, it sets off a ghoulish transformation. Obeying instructions from the virus, the newly infected cell sprouts multi-pronged tentacles studded with viral particles.

These disfigured zombie cells appear to be using those streaming filaments, or filopodia, to reach still-healthy neighboring cells. The protuberances appear to bore into the cells’ bodies and inject their viral venom directly into those cells’ genetic command centers — thus creating another zombie.

The authors of the new study, an international team led by researchers at UC San Francisco, say the coronavirus appears to be using these newly sprouted dendrites to boost its efficiency in capturing new cells and establishing infection in its human victims.

Their research was published Friday in the journal Cell.

The scientists also believe they have identified several drugs that could disrupt the viral takeover of cells and slow the process by which COVID-19 takes hold. These compounds, many of which were designed as cancer treatments, seem likely to work because they block the chemical signals that activate filopodia production in the first place.

Talk about a hyper based fear mongering article, next thing they will discover CV-19 is communicating from their command center with other CV-19 virus's using low earth satellites .

    Aerosol transmission of covid

    https://www.abc.net.au/news/health/...spread-of-covid-19-possible-what-now/12443268

    upload_2020-7-11_10-43-21.jpeg

WHO a has denied that COVID was transmitted through aerosols but this has now been challenged as more evidence comes to light. It certainly fits with what has been observed with the increased risk in multigenerational housing and cruise ships
    upload_2020-7-11_10-45-48.jpeg
it also shows a path of how we can tackle this by looking at how air conditioning and air flow is affecting the spread

I agree it’s long past time for WHO to come to grips with this. It’s illogical to believe there isn’t aerosol spread if infectious dose is as small as we believe it is. Glad it’s being scrutinized.

If that graphic is to be considered factual then it clearly demonstrates why thinking wearing a mask to protect against the spread of CV-19 is a foolish myth.

Air handlers have thick filters that trap particulates, the same as a respirator will, behind the filter is an evaporator, which utilizing the evaporation of liquefied refrigerant becomes cold causing droplets of moisture to collect upon it which are collected in a drip pan and then sent down the drain.

Neither a mask nor a respirator have a evaporator to chill and trap droplets of moisture.

So given that, the idea that a air handler with a filter and evaporator can spread CV-19 and wearing a mask will not, has been proven to be false or the graphic is false, so which is it?

    HOW ASININE CAN ONE GET?

From the Guardian: Coronavirus global report: WHO reveals fresh record rise in cases worldwide

    Excerpt:
The above report is nothing of which America can be proud. An ignorant PotUS refused to react more quickly and so the people dying are going astronomic in numbers. America is totally unprepared to manage the burgeoning numbers of Covid deaths. In many places, there are simply neither enough beds nor enough equipment (which is highly necessary in the treatment to save a life).

And Jerko in his Offal-Office is determined to run for reelection in November? How assinine can an American PotUS get?

Very ... so, wear a mask anytime and all times you are in a crowd. And that most certainly means avoiding parties and the close-contact in bars. Unless, of course, you really want to die because there's a damn-fine chance of that happening.

Uncle Sam was totally UNPREPARED for what has happened to his people - and this sham of a PotUS preferred to remain ignorant of the facts that were happening before his very eyes across the pond in Europe. What more proof was necessary?

And why? Because he knew what would happen to his hotel business ... !!!
