No one has mentioned the KKK. Interesting

I started the thread to see if people agreed or disagreed if that “stage” resembled something from history that has recently been promoted at other Republican events.

It seems to have caused a few posters some severe discomfort.

WHatever discomfort you see is purely of your own creation in your mind. Pointing out stupidity in seeing nazism everywhere, which the left is proficient at, doesn’t make for what you think lol.

Nonetheless, the event is going well despite the irrational attacks.

No, the swatiska is commonly used in dharmic religions (hinduism and buddhism), and it was a symbol that was used regulary during antiquity. So yes, you can find easily those crosses in east (India, China, Japan, Tibet).

It was firsthand a trolling by 4chan, I'm not a big fan of them, but this was funny. They managed to convince some left wing activists that the "ok" symbol was a hate symbol, they did that then with milk, and they even used the gay flag as a hate symbol.

Oh, yeah. You're right. "Nazi", "KKK", "White Supremacy"....or whatever idiom du jour the leftist conspiracy theorists choose to pounce on. It's all the same crazy propaganda created by left-minded machinations.

Who do you think is in discomfort? I have laughed so hard early in this thread that my sides hurt, but that's about it for my personal "pain". It's good to laugh! LOL

I have CPAC on in the background. I have noticed a lot of praise for RP stars and criticism of our DP government. Have I missed some specific positive proposals aimed at attracting voters for the midterms?

Looks like the conservatives on here think that this is a nothingburger. I wonder if they were as forgiving if the Dems had a stage shaped like this at their convention:

I don't know if it was intentionnate or no, and I can't, but you can more easily do accidentaly a swatiska or an odal rune than a hammer and a sickle, simply because the two first are made of very simple geometric patterns.

The DP has always been the party of systemic institutional racism in America. The, RP has for the most part been, indifferent to the problem. Ordinary American Democrats and Republicans need to find better leaders.

"Now the issue of busing — one of the most contentious of Biden’s long career — has resurfaced in a way that could threaten his presidential bid. At Thursday’s Democratic debate, Sen. Kamala D. Harris (Calif.) turned to Biden and accused him of opposing policies that allowed black children like her to attend integrated schools.

On Friday, a Biden aide noted that the busing program Harris participated in was not court-ordered and said Biden would not have opposed it. A Harris spokesman, Ian Sams, replied, “She wasn’t just speaking for herself. She was speaking on behalf of countless black and brown children who were seeking access to better education through school integration.”
THE WASHINGTON POST, Joe Biden called busing a ‘liberal train wreck.’ Now his stance on school integration is an issue., By Michael Kranish and Laura Meckler, June 28, 2019.

It does resemble the pin, but unless Steven Miller designed it, it's not meant to symbolize anything.

Conservatives: CPAC has a panel of minorities discussing how to get more minority voters.

Liberals: CPAC's stage is shaped like a Nazi symbol.

Conservatives: Some minorities say that GOP candidates need to go knock on more doors at the local level. Other say conservative minorities simply need to be more politically active and engaged in running for office.

Liberals: CPAC is dog whistling to White Supremacists.

    Conservatives: No.

Liberals: I can tell that "my truth" hurt your feelings.

Consvervatives: Uh. No. Amusing distraction to serious conversation though. LOL

    Typical.

Trump changed that racial indifference reputation for the GOP and drew a higher margin of minority voters away from the DNC to the GOP and changed the core messaging to a party for the working classes versus the old reputation of the GOP as the party for "rich people". That's very clear in the invitees and speakers at CPAC the last four or five years.

Now DNC is the party for the corporate political lobbyists (the very rich) and those extremely dependent on government (the dependent voters they created). The "middle" is bleeding out and away from the DNC. The panic, as can be verified by the ratcheting up of the "racist" and "equity" rhetoric, is palpable.

Absolutely. The “rune” is symmetrical and stages are typically also. It was most likely not intentional but some of the responses to this OP are very strange. Thank you for your common sense reply!

the DNC will win elections with the very rich and permanent welfare class on their side.

This is true. The very anti-racist DJT was a radical exception. Which is probably another reason why the professional politicians that run both parties and their minions hate his guts.

"The latest Zogby Analytics poll just shared with Secrets had Trump’s approval at 52%. “The president has recorded his best job approval rating on record,” said pollster Jonathan Zogby.

What’s more, his approval rating among minorities was solid and, in the case of African Americans, shockingly high. Zogby said 36% of blacks approve of the president, as do 37% of Hispanics and 35% of Asians.

Approval among independent voters is also up, to 44%. And “intriguingly,” said Zogby, 23% of Democrats approve of Trump.

It was the latest to show that Trump’s approval went up during the Democratic National Convention. Rasmussen Reports had it at 51% at the end of the convention.

In a shock from past election years, Joe Biden got no convention poll bounce, according to a newly released Reuters/Ipsos poll."
WASHINGTON EXAMINER, Trump pops to 52%: ‘Best job approval rating on record,’ up with blacks, even Democrats, By Paul Bedard, Washington Secrets Columnist, August 26, 2020. (emphasis mine)
    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/...ating-on-record-up-with-blacks-even-democrats

Those numbers show why the DP/RPe had to give Trump the Sanders treatment to win. ;-)

The Nazis didn’t ban guns, the regulation was in response to the Treaty of Versailles, and the German Weimar government.

They did not ban “god” — Hitler was a Catholic

Liberals don’t want to ban churches — we just want them to apply for tax exemption like every other orientation in the nation

    ...

That said, if you feel nazism is more characterized by left wing policy why do republicans keep flying it at their events? Why aren’t they stopped?
