It is only common sense that the development of herbicide resistant crops would increase the use of herbicides. The chemicals are used to control weeds. And herbicide use has to have more chemicals added to control resistant weeds.

Which increases yield thanks to the herbicide resistant GMO plants. But the use of herbicides is not required. Third world countries have labor with which to pick weeds. The original discussion was about GMO plants requiring less water, fertilizer, and pesticides.

Seems to me China's "problem" is they are eating more meat not producing less grain

Google Gabe Brown....no pesticides, no commercial fertilizer, and yields above his county average. Also no irrigation with 16 inches average rainfall a year. He has increased organic matter in his soil from less than 2% to over 5%.

I am going to plant some roudup ready, BT corn this year. I am also planting some old fashion corn. I will do everything basically the same and compare yields and quality. I understand eating quality may be a matter of taste so I will compare ear size, kernal fill, and expense. Everything I do is no till (mostly) so we will see. I will also compare plant height because I use the stalks for feed.

So the IPCC predicts problems in the future, and "Human Events" declares crop yields right now prove that to be wrong?

Fascinating. "Human Events" appears to have serious problems understanding that "present" and "future" are different things.
