That's right, looks like the Cuban healthcare system is resorting to using horse drawn buggies to ambulance people away. The above picture was taken in the city of Placetas, as healthcare officials showed off the new ambulances the town received. Will this inherently result in worse care? Probably not that much. But it does seem to demonstrate the limited resources that Cuba's healthcare system has to work with. In one sense they should be applauded for being so economical with what they have and trying to keep costs down.
That makes no sense in any way. Mortality will be high for the numerous reasons, however, I am too lazy to write an unpaid comprehensive analysis report.
Reading the title I was envisioning cans tied to strings for communication devices, but this is even more sad . . . and inevitable.
And yet CUBA has BETTER healthcare ouitcomes than the USA.Lower maternal and infant mortality rates, longer average life span.
No it doesn't. For crying out loud the WHO uses numbers provided by the Cuban government. There is no independent analysis allowed and hasn't been for decades. What we do know is that we have actual pictures of actual Cuban hospitals for actual Cubans and they are filthy, underequipped people are dying in their so called great hospitals. We have testimony form former Cuban doctors about the atrocious medical care for Cubans themselves. If you want good healthcare in Cuba you have to be a foreigner and pay cash for it.
A very underrated post--very true stuff. Americans can't talk smack about Communist Cuba's better healthcare lol.
The poster I was responding to listed a few including lower infant mortality rates. Cuba is better than the U.S. in this area and it should embarrass the U.S, especially with how much healthcare costs in this country.
I bet providing free Cuban-style healthcare to the poor wouldn't be too expensive in the U.S. if we were actually to make that healthcare Cuban-style, with everything that does (and does not) entail.
This really isn't a good enough reason to dismiss the facts. Would you accept it if it came from a CIA listing? https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/rankorder/2091rank.html
It could be true. Kinda like a Vietnamese woman working in the paddy, heading for the treeline and some shade to pop out her baby, handing off the baby to Grandma, and going back to work in the paddy. Tough hearty women inured to hard labor in the high heat.
It doesn't matter. Anyone can say this information doesn't count because it doesn't support my own bias. Cuba as a source is no less trustworthy than the info coming out of America.
How can it not matter? Either it is a lie or it is the truth. It has nothing to do with bias. It has to do with my familiarity with Cuba and dictators. But I agree that all governments lie, including ours. Lying is the most prevalent of all human weaknesses.
Fake news. Your story is originally from a Spanish Edition of the equivalent of "The Onion". The picture is from a parade and the carts are just parade floats - not ambulances. But whatever. You're going to continue to have your little circle jerk no matter the truth. So carry on.
