The issue isn't whether the president has the power - though it is interesting that such power has not been exercised by other presidents.

The question concerns how the power was used.

Top Trump officials and our intel branches were strongly opposed to the decision to give access to the top most sensitive US intel to these individuals after they were vetted as is required.

That was TRUMP'S hand picked people who were so strongly opposed!!

Our congressional intelligence committees have the DUTY to investigate acts such as this. That is what they are there for.

    Only another monologue.
Does not address, Save personal crimes for after the presidency.
Tax Crimes are Federal but, personal.
Lying about one's sex life under oath is a Federal crime, but personal -
save it for after retirement from the presidency.

    NOT
    Agree or Not,
    Simply
    Get It or Not
    for discussion sake.
No more monologues against Moi's quotes, PAH-Leeze.

    RussiaGate is over.
    Did you read the results?

Do you personally agree with further investigations? yes / no
Do you agree chronic investigations threaten the perceived power of the President by would be enemies? yes / no

    :peace:

But isn't it meaningless if it's legal? If a president can do that despite his hand picked people opposing, then it's legal.

So what do you mean on how the power was used?

LOL - sorry, the "RussiaGate" case is not even SLIGHTLY over. We don't even have Mueller's report yet!

The coverup of election misdeeds is a crime against our federal election - clearly a federal issue.

I can see your point on the crimes being pursued by NY and maybe even the banking and insurance crimes - which are federal crimes. But, even though indictments could be delayed, I don't accept the idea that investigation has to stop. Also, there are statutes of limitation, and if we have to wait for the president to leave office, then there would have to be relief on ALL statutes of limitations on ANYTHING that would be subsequently discovered. I certainly do not see that happening.

And, Republicans clearly agree with ME, not you!

Is that what they are doing? How about hiding their goals behind it.

OK. It's legal for the president to go to war. It's legal for the president to turn over our most secret documents to Russia. There is no law against the president getting wealthy off of being president in certain ways - the emoluments clause isn't a law concerning presidential actions. Etc.

    LOT'S of stuff is legal.

Being legal is only one level of justification.

Where’s the proof this was his decision?
Congress can inquire about why he was denied.

The White House needs to ignore investigations like the Obama Administration did.

Don't believe everything "No Nads" Nadler says. Democrats are misusing their authority in a vain attempt to affect the outcome of the upcoming elections. They disgrace themselves and they are a disgrace to our nation.
    Trump said.

Trump will handle this the same way former President Obama’s handling of congressional probes during his time in office.
Crazy Elijah Cummings' is attempting a fishing expedition related to security clearances for White House personnel.

Cummings’s demands are unprecedented and extraordinarily intrusive demands that failed to point to any authority establishing a legitimate legislative purpose for the request.

The Democrat chairman have gone stone cold CRAZY and are attempting to harass dozens of innocent people who have worked in the White House and the Trump Organization with their document requests.

They are out of their minds,

    Sad!

Whoring out the family name for money ain't that hard when your grand pappy and your pappy have built a reputation and brand.

Trump doesn't have the experience either so your "least experienced" statement don't hunt.
