The guidelines aren't the problem.....or weren't in Feb 12....the problem in NY is the Dems found out quickly they couldn't follow the guidelines and still mandated it....sending people off to day is what they did
HE DID NOT....there is nothing in the guidelines that says to mandate sick people back to the old folks home. Stop lying
Cite the nursing home guideline that says all nursing homes must accept COVID-19 infected patients, even if the NH says they are not equipped or staffed for those types of patients. Cite for me where it says NHs cannot test patients for the virus before the state forces them into the NH. Cite for me anything that mirrors the asinine order by Cuomo? You can't so give it up.
It hopeless, some people are partisan hacks, and no amount of the cold hard facts and truth will ever penetrate their brains.
Trump is the president, not the governor of NY. The dems went ballistic when Trump banned flights from China, calling him a racist, a xenophobe and overreacting. Cuomo himself flipped out when Trump implemented the New York Travel Program Ban. Even during the virus, NY state was still a sanctuary for illegal aliens, still kept the subways open, still recommended that patients infected with the virus be forced into nursing homes, against the will of the people running the NH. On February 26, Gov. Cuomo said New York state is the “front door” for visitors from around the world. He only instituted voluntary quarantines for suspected coronavirus carriers. “We are encouraging New Yorkers to go about their everyday lives and suggest practicing everyday precautions that we do through the flu season,” Barbot said on January 26th. She even added that those “who had recently traveled from Wuhan were not being urged to self-quarantine or avoid large public gatherings.” On February 2nd, she urged the same lack of caution: “The risk to New Yorkers for Coronavirus is low, and our preparedness as a city is very high. There is no reason not to take the subway, not to take the bus, not to go out to your favorite restaurant, and certainly not to miss the parade next Sunday.” New York confirmed its first case of the COVID-19 virus in Manhattan on Sunday. In a news conference about the state’s plans to address the illness, Cuomo said the patient wasn’t being hospitalized because her condition was not that severe. “She doesn’t need a hospital. And that is the point here. Somebody used the expression ‘this is like the flu on steroids.’ OK?” Cuomo said. “Eighty percent of the people, when infected with the coronavirus, will self-treat and self-resolve. They’ll think they have the flu because it’s the same type of systems.” So spare me the notion that Cuomo was not dismissive of the virus. The entire sanctuary state of New York was dismissive of immigration control.
Cuomo admitted that self quarantining is leading to more Covid cases and yet he forced nursing homes to take Covid patients. And here I thought Fredo Cuomo was the dumber Cuomo.
How interesting would it make the election if Biden reversed course on his "onlywomenletmesmellurhair" VP choices and selected Andrew "The Grandma Killer"Cuomo?
Ahh, but see that's the difference. Cuomo didn't have the information available to Trump. And certainly the city health commissioner didn't. Jan. 3: A Chinese official officially informs CDC Director Robert Redfield of the outbreak of a respiratory illness in the city of Wuhan. Redfield later relays the information to HHS Secretary Alex Azar, and Azar informs the White House National Security Council. -------------- Mid-January: Assistant HHS Secretary for Preparedness and Response Robert Kadlec instructs subordinates to make contingency plans for using the Defense Production Act, which allows the federal government to compel the production of certain materials in a crisis. -------------------- Jan. 18: Azar, who had been trying to speak to Trump about the virus, is finally able to meet with him. Before Azar can begin talking about the virus, though, Trump interjects to ask him about a federal crackdown on vaping. ----------------------- Jan. 22: Trump makes his first comments about the coronavirus, saying he is not concerned about a pandemic: “No. Not at all. And we have it totally under control. … It’s going to be just fine.” -------------------------- Jan. 27: Concerned White House aides meet with then-acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney to get senior officials to pay more attention to the issue. Joe Grogan, the head of the White House Domestic Policy Council, argues it could cost Trump his reelection and says the virus is likely to dominate life in the United States for many months. --------------------- Jan. 29: A Navarro memo warns of 500,000 or more American deaths and says it is “unlikely the introduction of the coronavirus into the U.S. population in significant numbers will mimic a ‘seasonal flu’ event with relatively low contagion and mortality rates.” Jan. 29: A Navarro memo warns of 500,000 or more American deaths and says it is “unlikely the introduction of the coronavirus into the U.S. population in significant numbers will mimic a ‘seasonal flu’ event with relatively low contagion and mortality rates.” ------------------- Secretary Wilbur Ross says coronavirus will be good for [checks notes] American jobs: "I think it will help to accelerate the return of jobs to North America." ----------------------- Jan. 30: Trump says of the threat: “We think it’s going to have a very good ending for it. So that I can assure you.” ------------------------ Jan. 31: Trump announces travel restrictions from China after three major airlines announced they had halted flights. The restrictions take effect Feb. 2. --------------------------------- Early February: Other White House officials, including deputy national security adviser Matthew Pottinger, join Grogan in calling for a more forceful response. Grogan expresses worry that there aren’t enough tests. Pottinger pushes for expanding the travel ban to countries such as Italy and earns the support of Anthony S. Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. but the plan is resisted by Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, who cites economic concerns. Yep. Nothing to see here.
Cuomo "admitted" no such thing. The people who were staying home may have very easily gone out and being around people.
(The state had already required all facilities to isolate COVID-positive patients and prohibited staff from moving between treating those who are infected and those who are not.) https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-new...home-forced-take-recovering-patients-n1191811
Sounds like you can’t understand and comprehend. And that my fiends is my people like this guy and dems shouldn’t be in power
If human endeavor was left to the control of democrats, there would not be a United States of America. If human endeavor was left to democrats, there would be no airplanes. If human endeavor were left to democrats, we would be a third world country. Democrats couldn’t forge this country out of wilderness if they had 5 lifetimes to try.
Meatball will either get sent to prison or one of the Mafia who had a relative died will take care of the matter. Meatball should probably consider disappearing, create new ID. Argentina is nice this time of year they say. And they have experience in hiding ex Nazi and Mafia
Plus as expected this Mussolini-light Governor tried to backpeddle and claim Trump was to blame for Nursing Homes taking Covid 19 Postiive patients. He's such a New Yorker pig.
He'd never allow a person infected with COVID to enter his mother's home to give her the virus, and yet he forced infected people into the homes of New Yorker's parents and grand parents, resulting in their deaths.
