At todays China virus presser-experts suggested that actual mortality rate seen tends to be much lower than prior figures from other nations.

Hopefully that trend continues-but closing businesses and putting people out of work is a losing proposition.

Trump has already stated that he will re-evaluate soon to see if the virus is declining, and if Americans can return to work.

    It's not really his decision.

My company started sending cubicle dwellers home to work three weeks ago. So far, they've cleared 50K employees from offices around the globe.
My husband's company sent him home to work three weeks ago, also.

They did it before Trump started taking it seriously. I doubt they have any interest in his opinion on when they should call their employees home. They listen to the experts.

The news headline could be shortened to “Cuomo Not Sure As Usual”

Stefan Molyneux was talking about this the other night. He suspects that both employers and employees will start to rethink the status quo of working from an office as opposed to just working from home and using the multitudes of electronic communications available. It would certainly save on expenses for the employer, but could also have a negative impact on commercial real estate.

    That's not what he said.
    "
But the governor said he had no second thoughts on the actions the state has taken even if it will have political consequences.

New York, which has the most cases of the virus in the U.S., is among several states to have shut down all nonessential businesses.

Cuomo said as the state evaluated the risks he “turned the valve a little” more and more, before reaching the point where he closed all nonessential businesses. The New York State on PAUSE order went into effect Monday morning.

“I’m sure there will be political consequences, I know people are very angry about it,” he said, adding that one man told him he will never be reelected. “Frankly, I don't even care about that. I did the right thing and I'm proud of it. At the same time, at one point you have to open the valve … because that is oxygen for the economy and this is not sustainable.” "

Trump should give the return to work dates to all 50 governors, and advise caution.

Each state is having different impacts and a date for all 50 states, may not be the right decision.

Some states with limited impact should be able to return to work before New York.

Then when Cuomo sends people back to work, he owns the decision. If more people die & the virus starts to spread again, Cuomo can only blame Cuomo.

Nobody trusts him to tell the truth after he lied about it for so long.

I honestly don’t know how the rules work for this, but it should be the governors decision.
