This guy is such a hack.....his daily press briefings are designed to instill fear and provoke chaos. All politics all the time.

He just said that 80% of the population would get this disease. That's at least 250 million people. Even with a death rate of 1%, that's 2.5 million.

He's also saying this is going to last a long time....several months at least.

The guy needs to shut the hell up.

If your leader goes on TV to calm the populace about a crisis - and the next day the market drops 2,000 points and people run out to buy food and TP - you may not have the best leader in a crisis. Just say'n, the proof is in the results.

Here is how you talk to the population. I know it's not super exciting yelling at reporters type of stuff, but this is the actual info that people need.

 

Yesterday, my wife and I went to Walgreens - doubt it exists in Oz; it's a pharmacy/general store - and someone had put strips of tape six feet apart so you could practice social distancing while waiting in line.

On the way back, there's a skateboard park that was built oh - maybe a year ago. It was completely full of teenagers. They definitely weren't practicing social distancing.

 

The real concern is our jobs..... Atleast mine is. With states going to shelter in place orders what about our jobs??

Unemployment doesn't pay 100% unless they're going to start to now so that doesn't cut it...... Last I heard democrats are against a stimulus check, is that true ?

People didn't panic this bad after 9/11. As bad as Bush was, people got the feeling that things were being handled in a semi-competent manner. People didn't panic this bad during the Bird Flu outbreak, even though more people died because people had a semi-general trust in the government to handle it. People just plain old don't trust Trump and company to handle a crisis. It is what it is.
