And I’ll go one further and ask, where in the Constitution is the federal government given the power to take from one taxpayer and give it to another?

hard to take anything you have to say to heart when you claim "all" of some party members feel the same way. there is NO way for you to know how "all" people of some group feel.
the debit this country is in is staggering and it's just growing and growing...

especially when they could NOT graduate.... they can drop out cause they have NO SKIN in the game. Then we have paid for part of something that is useless. No control over it.... Plus what has the government ever run that has run or is running successfully? There is so much fraud in government run programs - my hard working dollars just wasted.

There is a reason we have entire groups of political activists now that tow the "free" line from healthcare to education. It's because we have discharged personal responsibility in nearly all aspects of our society. People are not held accountable for their decisions or inactions, and instead believe they have an inherent entitled to things they perceive to be "rights".

Fact is, this isn't about "I suffered", this is about "I have lived my life accountable to myself and my outcomes, you should do the same".

FYI, Student loan debt can be discharged by a court and existing bankruptcy laws using what is called the Brunner test. To do so requires a good faith effort to try to replay the loans -- which for most of the deadbeats would not be doable.

Because all you can focus on are things that provide immediate satisfaction for you individually.

How many terror attacks from foreign nations have been conducted on US soil since we started the war on terror? How many have been attempted?

Those "under 30" year olds will soon be the ones that work their ass off for a decent pay check, and when that happens, and they witness the deductions from their paychecks will slowly start to become more conservative.

Millennials seem to think that their generations liberal trends are something new. Millennials always think they are generationally different than ever other generation. Guess they need to feel special. Sorry to inform you though that they aren't.

Many of the Baby Boomer and Generation X were very liberal too.. when they were young and poor. And as they invested in themselves, worked hard, started a family, and provided accountability to themselves... they are what you see as current conservatives. Did you really think that Boomers and GenX were somehow republican and conservative when they were stupid 20 somethings? Really?

Secondly, just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. We could financially afford to buy everybody in this country a new car. Should we? No.

The fact is, the utopian dreamers of the Progressive Left have completely abandoned the foundations of what a Limited Federal Government means... assuming that anything goes so long as it is supported. What is truly scary though, is that this abandonment of our foundational constitution was written that way because we have seen historically what happens when a strong federal government gets too much power.

The fact that progressive liberals are willing to ignore that history, assume they can do it better, and abandon the constitution is truly scary.

We have one of the most educated societies on the face of the planet now.

    Under our current systems.

In fact, people come from all over the world to study in the United States.

Tell me how I benefit when John Doe in San Diego is paid to go to school for accounting. How exactly do I directly benefit from that in comparison that John Doe paid for his own accounting degree.

Not sure I see the connection to my benefit other than I had to pay for it.

If Warren somehow wins the Democratic nomination, this video is going to be played endlessly. Most Americans still respect personal responsibility, and the Squaw is demonstrating her complete lack of it here.

I would just be happy if my employer tuition reimbursement program didn’t have to tax me after 5750.

    What the hell man???

The subject of this thread is student loans, not Trump campaign rallies.

Not a moot point. We yet again get to see how low top dems will sink.

Exactly. I paid my mortgage in a lump sum last December as I go into retirement. It had been part of my financial plan to do so. I SAVED and didn't buy things I would have liked to and didn't take lavish vacations that I might have liked to, I paid myself first then spent what was left. Now if a Warren got elected and decided it's unfair that retired people have a mortgage and the government is going to forgive those loans and pay them off for them I'd be screaming bloody-murder about it and demanding they reimburse me.
