His company is in New York City. Some jobs aren't available everywhere, like being a waiter or a car salesman.
The last I talked with him about that (20 -25 years ago) he was paying all three. If there is a way around that now, then good for him. We don't talk often about salaries and income tax.

NY is the ONLY place his job can be found? That is one amazingly specialized job.

It's hard to be a NY Yankees pitcher and play home games in Connecticut.

    Yes, it's specialized.

No offense but...bull. First off, a professional athlete wouldn’t complain about taxes given the amount of money one would be making. Second, you referred to ‘his company’ being in NY city. No one has ever referred to a sports team as someone’s ‘company’.

He works in the financial industry, which is headquartered in NYC. That's where the action is. That's where his company is located. He is a specialist. There is no company in Connecticut that does what his company does.

Why the f--- are you do interested in my family? You're more than a little creepy.

I was using that as an example.

Pardon me for not giving out his name, address, and phone number on the internet.

Because he was paying double tax when he didn’t have to is a very oooor example. He should have gotten an accountant that was competent .l

Millions of people live in Connecticut and New Jersey and work in New York City and they don’t pay triple taxes. I think your story sounds a little fishy or your friend doesn’t really work in the financial industry because they usually are smarter than that

And you have to remember that whites are under represented in welfare programs when adjusted for the racial makeup of the USA.
But I absolutely agree with you I know plenty of white trash that could get cut off and need to get a job.

    I know

But black and guilt-ridden white liberals attribute that to “white privilage”

Liberals will never admit that America is the hreat land of opertunity and 99% of the people on welfare have simply made bad choices in their lives

You’re right America is the great land of opportunity and there is no racism or discrimination. Why don’t you look at Forbes richest Americans and by coincidence their white males who just made the right choices.
Of course women and blacks were not held back for generations,,they had the same head start (sarcasm alert)

So people born mentally and/or physically incapable of supporting themselves make up only 1%? I doubt that very much.

Did a mother of three kids whose husband passes away and now has to be on welfare make that choice?

Are there people on welfare as a result of poor choices they made? Absolutely. But to say it's 99% is unfair to those who are on welfare through no fault of their own.

I repeat the story over and over but it’s worth it. My husband came from the worst poverty I have ever seen. He had to drop out of school in the tenth grade. The navy saved his life. When he grew up there was no hope. College wasn’t even a remote possibility. When I grew up it wasn’t “if “I go to college, it was which college . He ended up a clerk on Wall Street after the Navy and was given the opportunity to go on the trading floor. He was able to retire in his 40s. He is the first want to tell you had he not been white and had he not been a male he never would have had that opportunity. Thank goodness that’s chamging
My students lived in a low income housing project in Brooklyn and the most important part of my job was to give them hope for the future.

If you look at Forbes you will also find women and minorites who made good decisions and were rewarded for it

Mentally handi-capped people are less than 1% of the population

The rest of the people on welfare cannot use thst excuse

As for widows with 3 children if that woman is not a liberal wacko she will deal with her unfortunate circumstance far better than the drug-snorting unwed welfare mom with 5 children by 5 different fathers

And the welfare bums outnumber the truely needy by at least 10 to 1

First off, mentally handicapped is more than 'less than 1% of population'. But you conveniently left out PHYSICALLY handicapped people. No need to be disingenuous.

I’m not counting liberals and other free spirits who drink or do drug till their mind is gone

I mean people who are born with a severe mental handicap
