I don't mock Christians for their faith, nor do I mock Muslims for their faith.

I find both equally implausible but it is not my job to tell people what god they should believe in.

Waving a pigs head, yelling at them that they are going to hell.....yeah I would call that being antagonistic.

But they are no more antagonistic than the Westboro Baptist Church....for what that is worth.

The Christians were completely within their rights and broke no laws. The Islamist thugs assaulted the Christians because they didn't like what they were saying.

This is very simple unless a few liberals are allowed to toss in all their distractions, muck up the water, and come out on the other side with the Christians being the bad guys.

 

I have evangelized to my fair share of Muslims in the past. One thing that almost always happens is they decide that violent actions are an appropriate response to my words.

Leftist appeasers- I suppose that is a not too clever code word for anyone who supports the First Amendment rights for all Americans- including Christians and Muslims- and of course anyone who refuses to label every Muslim as a dangerous terrorist because a few Muslims assaulted Christians demonstrating at an Arab Festival.

But no matter how much you try to play moderater and tell me what is on topic and what is not on topic-- I will continue to point out the facts.

A few individuals in a crowd estimated to be 50,000 attacked Christians who where there promoting a brand of Christianity that the crowd found offensive.

The same thing has happened to Westboro Baptist Church- who go to soldier's funerals to promote a brand of Christianity that the crowd finds offensive.

Some of course will never see the association because it doesn't include Muslims being bad, but rational people will.

 

Which group had their first amendment rights violated; The Christians or muslims?

 

In this specific case, the individuals who happen to be Christians had their first amendment rights violated when they were assaulted by individuals from the festival.

In the Westboro Baptist Church case, there were other individuals who happened to be Christians who had their first amendment rights violated.

The people of Skokie Illinois were much more restrained when American Nazis argued that their First Amendment rights allowed them to to march the streets of Skokie, Illinois, a predominantly Jewish city at the time. They were right- their First Amendment rights did allow them to march.

Americans- Christians, Muslims, Nazi's, even liberals, have the right to free speech and freedom of religion thanks to our Constitution. Those rights should be guarded jealously.

You would have to ask them yourself. I don't know for certain the religion of those who assaulted the Westboro Baptist Church members or the religion of those who assaulted the Bible Believers.

In this case we do know with reasonable certainty that the pastor is a Christian.

The Gay couple had every right to express their beliefs just as the Bible Believers do- and both were attacked because the recipients of their 'free speech' didn't take kindly to their message.

In the case of islam muslims act violently when they are sanctioned by their allah to do so.

 

And apparently in the case of Christianity, Christians act violently when they are sanctioned by their God to do so.
