Death penalty for fatal drunk/ careless driving 'accidents' is not unreasonable choice.
    Do u agree?

    http://www.dummies.com/education/sc...convert-potential-energy-into-kinetic-energy/

The maths proof that speeding KILLS.

Use potential energy = kinetic energy, aka how high will a car fly if it hits a vertically projecting ramp @ given speed assuming zero braking, zero friction , earth gravity:

    mgh= ½mv^2
    Input speed(v)= 80kph, h is estimate 20+m.
Input speed is 120kph, h is estimate 45+m...
Therefore being head on hit by 80kph car is same as dropping the car on person from 20m high, hit by 120kph car is like a car dropped on person's head from 45+m high...

these drunkards who drive fast and kill people should not just be jailed/ fined: they should be stoned with the offending car. Those who drove @80kph should have car dropped on their heads from 20m high, those who killed @120kph will have car dropped on their head fr 45m high...

Even for those who killed @40kph will have car dropped on their heads from 5+m high and those @20kph from 1.25+m high.

I am not trying to be sensational hor: Dis is just equal justice based upon what the factual physics/mathematics says based upon the quantum of kinetic energy that was irresponsibly handled resulting in innocent person's death .

(Of course driver culpability for killing would be reduced if the victim was even more drunk/ actually trying to commit suicide by deliberately jumping into oncoming expressway traffic from behind a bush etc).

The former communist state Bulgaria had the death penalty for drunk driving.

Not sure about the death penalty as it would be difficult to show intent, but I would argue that to arrest someone for drunk driving and upon bonding out giving the car back is plain wrong. If someone gets drunk and harmlessly fires a gun into the ground, they don't give him the gun back, so why is a car different?

Overly harsh punishment with no room for rehabilitation - gg

It's not a suitable punishment imo, their licence should be stripped away for a year, they should be fined and forced to do community service.

I say save the death penalty for crimes intentionally causing a death. Drunk driving is just a character flaw akin to supporting Democrats.

You think losing your license for a year is a suitable punishment for killing somebody while driving drunk?

    Not at all.
A drunk driver and especially repeat drunk drivers have shown that they cannot be trusted with a car, so treat it like a firearm and prohibit them from ever owning one. If they are caught driving treat them the same as a felon with a firearm, jail them and destroy the car.

Honestly people texting/talking on cell phones are worse most of the time and I never hear this kind of talk when it comes to how they should pay for killing someone with their car while texting/talking on a cell phone while driving.

1st degree murder requires intent and motive. No, this will never happen in the US.

I agree but it's an ingrained cultural thing, for example the new high performance Dodge everyone is waxing lyrical over. Not one politician has called for any restrictions or an outright ban on cars of such lethal power being used on public roads.
