I remember a few years ago Republicans cut funding in their states to planned parenthood clinics. Many of them closed their doors.

If Republicans can do that with state funding how much more can they do with federal funding cuts???

It's a Republican war on planned parenthood. And once they're done they are turning on other places who provide women's services. It's a power play and once they knock over the biggest block the rest fall like dominos.

No one is pretending that PP is the only place to get birth control but for many poor women it IS. It's accessible and affordable and many other clinics aren't.

When we talk about criminalizing abortions, what is the perspective of rape victims giving birth to a resulting child?

This change is in no way even defunding abortion..that is a lie as planned parenthood does not even use federal funding to perform abortions or anything abortion related. If it was supposed to be ment that way..it is once again poorly written, and is only going to hurt unintended victims.

What other possible birth control could you be talking about that does not require a pap smear and is offered at the local 7-11?

I will ask that you try and answer your own question. Why do you think that someone would want to get an abortion - or would support another person's decision to obtain an abortion - despite the fact that they were, originally, a fetus that successfully made it to maturity?

 

But it is one of the most popular and well-known places to obtain BC. If you defund PP, then there will inevitably be a lag (and thus increased birthrates) between women being unable to obtain their BC from PP and obtaining it elsewhere.
