I am hopeful that this can be a thread given that this is a personal experience, and not a news story driven experience.

In any event, one of the Soros funded democratic super pacs called "The Center for Essential Information" (super pac, Joe Biden) out of NorthField MN.
    https://www.opensecrets.org/pacs/indexpend.php?strID=C00748798&cycle=2020

sent me a flier in the mail. (I suspect this could be considered wire fraud). In any event, they have categorized me, my household, and frankly a list of folks who they claim to be my neighbors voting habits. (Isn't it interesting that they claim to know how I, my family, and my neighbors vote.

Their data point, I believe, is how I register in my state to vote. I can't think of any other possible public data point that would otherwise be available to these cretins.

Back to the flier. It says they "grade" my voting based on not being equally bi partisan. And that subsequent election cycles will only "worsen my grade" I received a C-.

Isn't this the stuff of China? Isn't this what social credit is all about? And why the F are these folks getting away with it?

    1) Your source doesn't mention Soros. So do you have another source, or is this more of the same.

    2) That is genuinely weird. That would be counter-productive and immediately made me wonder if that was the purpose, to drive people to the Right. I'd like to see it.

    3) It's depressing how much information is out there. Anyone could get a ton of info on anyone.

    4) That's the weirdness again. Nobody does that.

    5) No, it's not like China, for one thing, almost no one even knows they exist, and I would not be at all surprised if they disappear after the election.

Anyway... you have my interest, I'd really like to know more about these guys, if you have it.

The opensecrets site is pretty specific. The majority of the money was provided by Michael Bloomberg. He's often been a from for Soros in this country. There are lots of examples. So, the purpose of the pamphlet is to intimidate voters. Simple as that. It targets folks who are registered as republicans, and the implicit threat is, we know how you are. We're keeping track. And if Biden is elected, and we get our Reconciliation Counsels up and running, you're on the list. It's a threat. Vote for democrats, or we'll persecute you in the future.

Why else would you call it the "Center for Essential Information"? if not to be used as a basis for rounding up folks, like Keith Olbermann ranted about? This is an actual threat. And Bloomberg/Soros are making it. I thought this was going to be another of those Iranian BS threats, but it turns out, it's Bloomberg/Soros instead. Shocker.

    1) He's not Soros, was there a gay marriage and no one told me?

    2) Eh??

    3) Republicans do that all the time. Never heard of Dems doing it. Not saying it couldn't happen, just that I want some decent evidence.

    4) Maybe, but I am still going to need something I can hang my hat on. Conspiracy theories without substantial evidence is just more BS.

    5) Speaking of evidence, you've got bupkus there, as well.

I've seen enough, it's BS, and I'd bet you knew that going in.

I have not seen this done with politics yet, but may be because there is no party registration in my state. I have seen it being done with other things I have gotten in the mail like "Join our site like your neighbors Bob Jones and Anna Ketchum have". It personally made me not want to join their site at all because then they would be sending out letters like "Join our site like your neighbors Anna Ketchum and Chrizton have"

Think about it. It's insidious. Their mailer is telling you that you're likely failing in a world where reconciliation counsels are likely should Biden win the election. And, as folks like Olbermann are fond of telling us, just not supporting them is the equivalent of an actual crime for which you should be rounded up and condemned criminally and sent to camps. These folks are nutters for sure, but the basic tools seem to be now available to them to attempt to classify deplorables for off to the gulags and train cars full of deplorables in their vision of the future.

I suppose it doesn't take much if you started, like Biden's website proclaims, with registered gun owners, and coupled with party registration, seems to be the front of the line criteria for these loons. Can you, for a second, imagine if it were Trump supporters saying these things? I can, the outrage, the non stop wall to wall MSM coverage of the "threat" would be immediate and endless..

And so far, only possibly one partisan leftist has chosen to try to justify these mailers.

Yea I really think that this is a cautionary tale of why we need more aggressive privacy laws in the country beyond the election politics. Companies amass a tremendous amount of data that costs them nothing to keep and sell that data all day long to anyone wanting to pay them for it as a new hidden income stream. As for guns, you wouldn't even need to stop at registered owners. You could subpoena Walmart to provide the CC/debit info for people who buy related things, you could subpoena credit card companies to provide you the info on anyone who has made a purchase at Billy Bob's Guns & Ammo. We hemorrhage personal information all day long and there is nothing to protect people from the people who aggregate that information for whatever they want to farm from it.

I see it this way. For big tech to be so unanimously against Trump there has to be an actual monetization hit for them. IE, the implementation of the additional privacy requirements we see internationally now. Like GDPR in the EU, the US is implementing these standards as part of trade deals, like the USMCA as well as implementing them as updates to the NIST standards for service providers. Of course selling personal information will be harder, and these companies, like Amazon, Comcast, et al are worried their revenue streams that make money off of selling your personal information will be threatened. I totally get why these platforms, google, amazon, facebook twitter et al are suddenly so active in rooting out the folks who are threatening their income.

The democrat party will tell you when to vote, how to vote, and who to vote for. You will do as you are told or there will be consequences. Do not cross us, we know where you live, where your spouse works, and where your children go to school. Have a nice day.

What's going on in California, apparently they tossed out 100 000 postal votes... I'd like to know how many of them were Trump votes
