Under the Clinton clan influence, anyone that began to rise in visibility was swatted down. Party leaders didn't allow up and comers to get any attention by not being allowed to sponsor any high profile bills, instead they were farmed out to Pelosi and Schumer's favorite cronies.
So you get a bunch of people with no reputation of accomplishing anything. Thus the Democrats today have a senile president, an unqualified VP to fall back on. #3 is 82. Who gets to run in 2024? Those names we know have expertise in their own little knowledge patch, but have no broad appeal required of a national candidate.

All true. And as terrible as the the Trump clones and Trumpism itself are, they've got younger candidates trolling their way to the top. It's hard to believe that the Democrats would allow themselves to get to the point that Trumpism sounds like a better alternative to many voters but they've actually done it.

There are some very good potential candidates - Andrew Yang is 47 and makes more sense than pretty much anyone.

I think there are plenty of good young democrats who will be leaders as soon as the old people move on.

Some may be at the state level right now. McMorrow is a good example of someone who we didn't know a week ago, who seems like she could easily become a leader for the dems.

    It's corruption, not age.

Look at the age of most dictatorships leaders. They are mostly very old because the don’t let up and comers come up because they are a threat. That is exactly what the democrats are doing.

    You mean “die off”.
