Democrats are not motivated or interested per the polls. Some Democrats are not even following the recall election. Kevin Paffrath is generating interest but polls have him less than 10% right now. Gavin Newsom has been up and down in the polls. Some have him winning and others losing.

Republicans are motivated and on fire. They will get out and vote. The only Republican doing ok in the polls is Larry Elder and he is still only averaging over 20%. The problem for Republicans is California has a huge Democratic voter base and while the election is forcasted to be close even by Democrats Gavin Newsom is still expected to win.

Overcoming the massive advantage by the Democrats will be almost impossible and even if Larry Elder wins he would face a normal election in 2022 which he would lose. Republicans can't win normal govenor elections in California.

I think Gavin will win but I won't be surprised if he loses.

“If Larry Elder is ‘the face of white supremacy’ in California; Gavin Newsom is the butt.” — Comedian Joe Devito.

Betting Odds are 23% that he's recalled.

They know they are going to lose.

The Nation’s Elie Mystal wants to use January 6th as a pretense to “nationalizing the midterm elections:”

They want to nationalize elections to prevent oversight by the voters.

Be clear on who they are.
    Vote them out!

He will lose, but because of voter fraud. If the theft of your right to an honest election doesn’t energize you, nothing will.

    Betting Odds GOP 70/30.

Weird. The Party of Riots, Inflation, Lockdowns, Open Borders, Soros Prosecutors and the Kabul Debacle isn't looking too good?

The Party of Pronoun Police, Woke and Genders too many to number? Rural folks know that you can't milk a bull or get eggs from a rooster no matter how said bull or rooster "identifies".

Florida has seen a big shift to the right. Hispanics and Latinos in FL and TX are switching parties.

States do shift once in awhile. I remember when Colorado used to be a swing state and now it's a solid blue state. I wish we could get that state back.

    Good post.

Every time a rich white privileged leftwing gentry clown says "Latinx" they lose more of the Latino vote. You can't milk bulls and roosters don't lay eggs, the sensible folks in the working and middle class are fully aware of these real world facts.

These rich white privileged gentry folks are beyond unusual, and they sure as heck do not have the good sense to be in political leadership.

A new poll has the Republican candidate ahead by 5 points in the Virgina race and Cook Political has moved the race to toss up.

This race is said to be the gauge on how the country is shifting politically. Is the country shifting to the Republicans or are the Democrats still strong enough to win this election?

The election is November 2nd I believe.

I’m not expecting a GOP win this time around. Those Virginia suburbs around D.C. have a lot of libs living there.

I don't think the Democrats have any chance of taking the Senate seat in Florida.

Shift in voter registration. The blue counties are the ones shifting to the Democrats LOL.

We will see. The suburbs are shifting I think. We had a special election recently in a big suburb of Des Moines, Iowa (Ankeny) and it went to a Republican. There was also a big house race recently won on the east coast from a suburb that went big for Joe Biden. A Republican won it. Hopefully the trend continues across the country.

I was looking for another thread about Democrats bailing out of the House of Representatives.
I planned to renounce it as premature. I looked up the list and discovered some are running for other offices.
I wanted to add that 5 Republicans are retiring from the Senate next year. However they are all old enough to retire and the youngest was sure to lose, probably in a primary.
Since then 2 more Democrats announce they were retiring from the House, plus Senate Pro Tempore Patrick Leahy.
The redistricting is ending, allowing for a more neutral analysis of the House races.

Unprecedented money supply (M2) growth coinciding with inflation. Nothing to see here.

Everyone can see the Democrats are going to lose big time in the midterms. I will be at home with a smile on my face when it happens.

The odds are in the favor of the GOP. However, the GOP is currently divided between absolute Trump loyalists who are willing to spread his fraud lies and those who resist his commands in even the most minor of ways. Hell, even Kemp is in his sights for daring to obey his state's laws and certify the vote. Trump will be pushing for his conspiracy theory loyalists and ranting against anyone who isn't sufficiently servile to his interests, so a lot hinges on the primaries. Will 1) the Trump loyalists win handily in the primaries? 2) Will the dare-to-sometimes-even-timidly-question-Trump GOP candidates win? 3) Will they be split? I consider the second option the least likely, though it will be what I go and vote in the primaries for.

The most likely paths for success for Dems in 2022 are if the economy is doing well and either 1) Trump has criminal indictments levied against him or 2) The results were split and Trump is still trying to tear down some of the insufficiently servile GOP candidates that won the primaries. Other than that, the GOP will likely take Congress in 2022. It's just a matter of how much control the Trump followers, specifically, will have.

They’re not, but inflation may not be their highest priority. Partisan voters will overlook a lot in order to pull the lever for their party.

The Biden inflation? Inflation has been increasing globally. Blaming Biden is idiotic. Jobless claims are at a 50+ year low. Does that mean Biden did that?
