Democrats to unveil 2 articles of impeachment Tuesday morning

House Democrats plan to unveil two articles of impeachment Tuesday, charging President Donald Trump with abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, according to multiple lawmakers and aides.

The Judiciary Committee plans to vote on the articles on Thursday, setting up a vote on the House floor next week to make Trump the third president in history to be impeached. The markup will be the last major step before the House votes to formally impeach Trump.

Trump has to be happy with the House... they are impeaching him fast, per his specific instructions.

R's can argue Trump's intent on the Abuse of Power all day long (and they will), but it's going to be very surprising to me if the OOC fails in the Senate without pulling some R's along.

How can a body like the Senate vote to confirm they no longer hold a power in the separation of powers?? I'm not really sure, but if they don't remove Trump on OOC, there will likely never be an opposition Executive Branch witness responding positively to a Congressional subpoena ever again. I predict this article will actually become much more important than Ukraine going forward.

Also, forgot to include that if this is correct, no Mueller in the articles.... good idea? bad idea?

Personally, I think it's the way to go... if you throw in some of the Mueller OOJ, it would make for a very disjointed, and much longer, trial.

Nothing that says they cannot bring those additional articles in the 2020 season of "The Apprentice - Impeachment"

The Republicans have painted themselves into a corner by allow Trump to take over their party. They deserve all the crap that is going to come their way because of this mistake.

My guess is none of the Republicans in the Senate will vote for conviction. The ones running for re-election would be committing political suicide...and the ones leaving to make money on the outside will doom themselves financially for doing it.

So...the abomination will continue in office at least until January 20th, 2020.

Our generation was given custody of this Republic...and we have **** on it. Future generations will look back at these days and wonder how any of us walk erect.

 

Abuse if power is perfect because it means the GOP either had to say they think he acted appropriately or that he didn't a d during an election year for almost half of them.

 

LOL, what corner, your impeachment farce is about to be disposed of in the Senate, Trump has massive GOP support, and is leading in battleground state polls. Dems are really alienating independents. Life is good.

 

For the record, the call wasn't wise but isn't worthy of removal of office, just like Dems didn't approve of Clinton's perjury, obstruction, suborning perjury, or the other eight counts against him but didn't think it warranted removal from office.

 

Let's hope that true, and this is the rock bottom, instead of it being the start of the decline..

Congress has the responsibility of oversight. If the Senate feels the HoR overstepped with its impeachment, than they can speak thru their votes.

The coup attempt will fail once it goes over to the Senate. I have to say, this just reassures that President Trump will get reelected in 2020, as it's painfully obvious to see right right this shame. President Trump was well within his rights to look into corruption and to protect the American people from the misdeeds and crimes of the Obama Administration.

Hunter Biden is a coke addict and that benefited greatly from his Father's position as VP in both China and in Ukraine. Joe Biden used his position to enrich his family and to protect him from being investigated and prosecuted.

You can always tell when Pelosi or Schiff are lying because you can see their lips moving. They have told so many egregious lies that they should be under investigation for trying to subvert our country and to undo the results of the 2016 election.

They just cannot get passed it and should not be allowed to continue to serve in their capacity. They are a danger to our country and are abusing their offices.
