Democrats to unveil 2 articles of impeachment Tuesday morning

There is absolutely zero doubt when it comes to the BLOTUS Obstructing Congress so to vote against that essentially DISQUALIFIES any Senator that does so from holding office.

The Abuse of Power has been established but if the GOP Senators don't want to explain themselves to their base that is their choice.

NOT including anything from the Mueller Report REMOVES the opportunity for Moscow Mitch to turn the trial into a circus. The prosecution has a straightforward case to make that the electorate will easily grasp. No amount of obfuscation is going to make that disappear.

Technically the BLOTUS could be out of the Oval office before the end of the year.

The GOP would be smart to go that route and then rally around Pence instead. He brings the evangelical base and they can pick someone else to appease the BLOTUS supporters. Politically it would be an expedient move. Pence pardoning the BLOTUS would remove him from the headlines and allow them to concentrate on 2020.

 

If we had Westminster style government this clown never would have been elected and never would have lasted.

 

If we had that had that type of Government we could vote for something and then wait for more then three years for the elected leaders to fullfill it...

 

Of course, every one has known forever that no matter how egregious the accusations are against Trump (and, even if there was overwhelming evidence against Trump) that the GOP Senate would vote to acquit.

In other words, it wouldn't matter if the case against Trump was open to interpretation or he committed a Capital Felony on Live TV.

No matter what the charge, the GOP Senate would never convict.

 

If the GOP do NOT remove the BLOTUS then they OWN him 100% and he will be a massive burden to carry with them into the 2020 election.

Every single opponent will use their votes for the Orange Turd against them in debates. ads, talkshows, social media, etc, etc, etc.

In essence the GOP is now in a LOSE-LOSE situation of their own making.

Moscow Mitch is many odious things but he is NOT a fool!

He KNOWs that even within his own GOP ranks there is a majority who would vote the BLOTUS out if there was a secret ballot because they want nothing more to do with the Mental Midget in Chief.

That puts Moscow Mitch between a rock and a hard place. He has to convince a majority of his own party to vote against their own best interests. How he does that remains to be seen but my own personal opinion is that he is doing the political math on both sides of the equation and if he wants to retain his Senate Majority he has to flush the BLOTUS and back pence instead.

I have been wrong in the past but I am not seeing a viable alternative strategy for him.

 

I'm sorry to disagree, but what polls are you talking about? The several polls I have seen from respected polling organizations have Trump behind by double digits in battleground states. If you have a link to your polling data I would love to see it. Meanwhile, these data show anything but good news for Trump. Do you believe the fact the president will be impeached is something that will make those polls turn up?

Trump owns the party...and even though they know they will be voting against the interests of the Senate and House...THEY WILL VOTE TO ACQUIT.

I agree that there will be zero defectors from the GOP. It would be political suicide to impeach on what was put forward by the democrats.
