Democrats unveil 3 trillion+ Covid relief package and plan to vote this week.

I guess they are going to give us $1,200 each again in scraps as they go on another spending spree.

They want 500 billion to bail out the blue states that are poorly managed by democrats.

Governor Newsom gave a billion in stimulus money to illegals & another billion to a going out of business car dealership who decided to make masks.

No sanctuary city should be bailed out.
Let them raise the state taxes or vote out the current administration.

Be certain, a lot of democrat party donators will get their palms greased.

 

I don’t think we should bail out any state — they should push legislation that allows deferment of federal taxes remitted by the states until a set point in the future. This will have the same effect as bailing out the blue states at significant savings and we can watch the insolvent welfare red states drown.

Pelosi held up the prior 2.2 Trillion stimulus for Arts & Kennedy center funding along with a long list of Green New Deal funding.

Trump got impeached for holding up funding to Ukraine & the money was released before the deadline.

blue states are net contributors to the federal coffers. Red states are a net drain. blue states were hit particularly hard with this pandemic, because most people live in blue states.

 

It's clear that Democrats wanna use the virus to create a quasi-Communist State within the US in order to get to Trump as well as to fulfill their life long dreams of government.

 

Trump has the option to veto any spending bill.
The buck stops on Trump's desk unless there is a Congressional override.

Why wouldn't you just do another round of 1200 if you thought it wasn't enough? The kinks should be somewhat under control and your better able to assess the situation than if you give too much money.

The prior stimulus checks cost $290 billion out of the 2.2 Trillion....

Now they want to give us another $290 billion out of 3+ trillion..... That is less than 10% of the stimulus money & the rest will go to poorly run blue states & their pet projects.

I hope It never passes & I expect it fail in the senate.

 

I agree with you actually, Trump does need to use his veto pen. It's a power given to the President, and as far as media/democratic complaints? We hear them anyway. So what difference does it make?

And, they STILL haven't gotten checks out to large numbers of workers who are suffering and who were targetting by past bills.

And, what we're seeing is that the trillions are being distributed under the watch of Jared Kushner.

There has been executive branch concern for hotels.

How much is going to the hotels owned by Trump, Jared and Jared's family?

We'll probably never know, as REPUBLICANS eleimeinated public oversight of how the money is distributed.

Four states in America vote by mail.

So, NONE of those states require ID for voting. They mail you a ballot. You fill it out at your leisure and then mail it in before the deadline.

The whole polling place system is RIFE with crime against democracy.

THAT is what should be stamped out.

21 other states use exclusive vote by mail for local elections.

That's more than half of our states!

Polling places are antiquated and allow numerous different kinds of assaults on democracy - with more than one used in each election in each state that uses that system.

 

They are in worse shape because they support the rest of the nation. They definitely have their own issues but removing the federal burden would balance their budgets. The same cannot be said about many bright red states who still run deficits in spite of massive federal subsidies.

 

CA just asked for federal money last week to pay CA unemployment claims.

NY is taxing out of state health care workers who came to NY to help them...desperate for tax money ?
