I never said a thing about religion. Assimilation into our American culture and learning our language official or not and knowledge of our history and loyalty to our constitution as law of the land is what is important irregardless of the race of the legal immigrant applying for citizenship. People from virtually every nation on earth are here having done just that.

So you are conceding that Trump who hasn't paid taxes in a decade or so, is a son of an immigrant, married an immigrant.... is all no problem.
But an immigrant who maybe up to 75% or even more does pay taxes, is a problem...

I guess we can just be blunt and mention that a lot of fanatic pro Trumpers have a problem with brown immigrants for being brown.
The great replacement theory etc. etc.

Like Trump, a person who doesn't pay taxes and rallied 1000's of people to attack the Capitol. That kind of culture, loyalty to the constitution, the law of the land?
Or is he excused, because you know... white privilege.

So why are people worried about “replacement theory”?

So, why is it an issue if there are more immigrants?

Because that's about white people being replaced. It has nothing to do with who votes on who. ;-)

What's obvious is it's a numbers problem and you're trying to make it a racist problem. This is why after all the chatter you won't answer basic questions like. How many should we take a year, how many years can America sustain taking that number, and why the hell hasn't the left changed the law since they have the house, senate and presidency? The rest is divisive talking points, for some reason the left never wants to get down to the nuts and bolts on this issue and my question is why?

Well, currently the left is talking specifically about 1 million greencard holders. Have you not paid any attention? This is it. After years and years... it's set at 1 million.
And probably there will be a renewed idea in some decades after this.

And lets be frank, you right wingers have turned this into a we don't want those illegal immigrants, hinting at the Latin Americans.
So of course that's where the race card is pulled. I fail to see a problem in it.

Don’t talk to me about rioting and looting when your side engaged it it 500 times more often than a few far right people did. And then there was Arizona on Friday night…

You do realize that they aren't changing anything at all about the law here right?

It's just an effort to speed up the bureaucracy so that people who are already eligible for a benefit are able to acquire it.

I would think speeding up bureaucracy would be something everyone could support.

I am talking to you about that rioting and looting, because it was inspired by an ex-president who swore to uphold the constitution.
And you demand that those immigrants behave like that. So that's the link.

Even their own liberal judges, in this case, the State of New York Supreme Court, struck this down. No, democrats, non citizens are not eligible to vote in US elections, local, state, or federal. Next.

Strawman fallacy. More than one. And a false claim about the immigrants paying taxes. A lot of these people pay zero taxes and then get EITC tax "refunds." But prove me wrong with some firm data supporting your position.

And you double down on your obsession with the MAGA King. But if you want to talk about a specific Trump tax return we can go there. Pick a tax year you want to discuss, the net imcome Trump had for that year, and the amount of taxes he paid. Let's talk about some specifics if you have them. If you just want to spew left wing talking points from your fake news I am done communicating with you as a waste of time. I like to discuss issues with people who disagree with me. But only if the discussion is based on a well reasoned argument.

You call something a fallacy without even bothering to look it up if it's true.

You seem to think you have backed up your claim with an opinion piece that is proof of nothing and then have the cajones to tell me to look it up. FYI, you cannot prove an opinion with an opinion. Thinking you can is a fallacy and intelectually dishonest. Are you claiming that illegals having an ITIN proves illegals pay taxes? Are you seriously asserting that filing a return means someone pays taxes? That would be absurd. A lot of people file returns, pay no taxes, and get EITC tax "refunds."

There is a major welfare component built into the American tax system that allows the American tax payer to subsidize businesses that will not provide adequate compensation to their employees. I once filled out a Federal return for someone who paid zero taxes and got a $13,000 tax refund. Eight thousand of this refund was a $8K tax "credit" for buying a house. Do you suppose illegals get these EITC "refunds"? Your lack of knowledge of the American tax system makes me think you do not live in the United States.

So -- since it is your claim that these illegals pay taxes, please provide some actual data showing the number of illegals that pay Federal tax - not the number that file a return. Then tell me the percentage of US taxes that are paid by these people. If you cannot do this then yes - your claim is a fallacy. So go look up some real data and then come back here and present it. Maybe, in the liberal world, claims can be presented without proof. But, if you are going to make your claims here on PF and be taken seriously you need to back them up with real data.

A link for you to read and consider.
    https://www.justfactsdaily.com/illegal-immigrants-and-federal-income-taxes

In reality, the polar opposite is true. Federal government data shows that while roughly half of illegal immigrants file federal tax returns, the vast majority of them don’t pay any federal income taxes. Instead, they use these returns to claim refundable tax credits, which are a form of cash welfare. In other words, illegal immigrants mainly use the federal income tax code to collect money from U.S. citizens.
