Deputies fatally shoot Black man in L.A. who dropped gun from bundle

And, another report says he drew his gun at the Sheriff's deputies.

BLM-LA sent word out on Twitter, an hour later the looting had started.

 

In Los Angeles, he committed a felony just having a gun on him. Punching an officer in the face may have been a factor!

 

It's a shame good guys don't have such a powerful network! Wow, one hour....

 

Notice a pattern? Armed, violently resisting arrest?

 

Police have become extremely unreliable in their reporting. Video is needed to make any initial judgement on the issue imo.

 

Here's a good video from a couple days ago in Daytona Fl, see the muzzle flash? Officer was hit in the vest but returned fire killing the criminal.

 

What does this have to do with the thread or what I posted?

If a cop’s life is in danger I support them taking action to defend themselves. They should be fully exonerated on investigation. If a cop plants evidence, assaults someone without reason, shoots someone in the back, or suffocates someone they should be charged and be responsible for their one defense and their own settlements. If other officer know and do nothing they should be charged as and accessory.

All police should be required to wear body cams and without one their world should hold no more weight than a regular citizen.

 

Statistics vary year-to-year, but for easy math, about 1000 people per year are killed by police, mostly legitimately and a few due to bad cops. That's 3-4 people per day getting killed by police, usually 2 white dudes and 1 black dude. So Dijon Kizzee is today's dead black man.

I'm tired of it.

People need to put things in perspective and deal with the fact that people own guns and the police own guns. A teeny tiny fraction of the total population will be shot by police....especially people who are armed and run from police.

My condolences to his family, but I really don't need to know the name of the dead black man of the day, same as I do not care to know the names of the two dead white men of the day who get killed by police. There will be 3-4 dead men tomorrow and we'll only hear about one of them.

Encounters with police are rarely deadly, but they certainly can be. Try to minimize encounters with police by obeying the laws.

The LASD said Kizzee was carrying an armful of clothes but that he dropped them before he fled, revealing a gun among the apparent laundry. It was unclear if riding a bike while carrying the clothes was the purported violation Kizzee was stopped for, but one witness told CBS Los Angeles that he posed no threat to the officers.
“He had a towel and he had his clothes and his pants couldn’t even stay up, so that’s what made him slow down so they had enough to get him,” the woman who granted anonymity said. “They didn’t have to shoot him more than 5 times, they could have shot him one time in the leg.”
She continued: “What’s the use of having the prison system if y’all are just gonna kill us? What are y’all here for? Who are you protecting?”

I head a good analogy the other day. The right wants to shoot you in the heart, the left wants to shoot you in the leg and third parties don’t want us shot at all.

I wish we had a three (or five) party system.

 

That he's fortunate the video clearly shows what happened or there would probably be riots in Daytona right now.

 

Many variations on this story. This video says the guy punched one of the officers. Who knows? No one knows until we have more actual facts.

 

That's because the left does not realize reality is not some wild west trick shot show. That's not how you stop a threat. Might be a good idea to not violently resist arrest?

When there is no video, the police officers automatically are given an award and bknus, no matter how many times the officer shot the "criminal" in the back.

 

BLM/ANTIFA break social media into two categories, basically defensive and offensive.

• Twitter, Insta, Facebook are defensive - They're for generating mass turnout of people who might not be fully radicalized yet and also for providing a controlled 'from the scene' foundation for media to craft their 'peaceful protest' message. This creates twin protective layers of extra bodies to act as cover (and potential new recruits) as well as the cover of fake news. • Signal, Telegram, and similar encrypted private access apps are offensive - These are the apps that the true BLM/ANTIFA terrorists use to coordinate looting, arson, riots, and targeted attacks on business and people. Using built in tools they quickly circulate GPS based locations, photos of targets, and can schedule attacks much like the rest of us would schedule a meeting or appointment, and self-destructing messages leave no trace for law enforcement to find after the fact.

That comment is far from reasonable. He would have been arrested and convicted of a felony for having a firearm. Of course, the constitution should protect his right to carry a gun, but Los Angeles politicians make it a crime. Democrats want cops to be the only ones carrying guns. Do you still think thats a good idea?

 

I know this may come as a shock but you are not a mod, if you feel rule violations have occurred, go run off and report it, no need to play mod. Anyhow, it's not a good idea to punch a cop.

Nor is it a "good idea" to post blatantly misguided narratives in a thread of this nature.

To my knowledge, as of now, there have been no instances of looting connected to this incident.
