We'll see how what's in the ME report lines up with other evidence.

"After the jurors are selected, they are required to take a solemn oath (or to affirm) that they will "well and truly try the matters in issue and a true verdict render according to the evidence and the law." When jurors take this oath, they become a judge of all questions of fact and are duty bound to act fairly and impartially in considering them."
https://www.courts.mo.gov/osca/inde...After the jurors are, duty bound to act fairly

They have a civic and moral and ethical obligation to do so. And that means beyond a reasonable doubt.

You think they are going to out Baden on the stand? His report is available along with his interview with the FBI which I have posted the relevant parts. What do you think the prosecution is going to do refute it? What have you seen that refutes? Everything I have seen supports it.

Minneapolis cops used that same technique 237 times. There is no denying they did.

The prosecution has tried to shift from he should not have done that AT ALL to a well he did it too long. Chauvin was faced with a live event, all the flowcharts and power point slides are great, but he had just struggled twice with a guy who was HUGELY bigger than he as the tried to do what they wanted to do and that was put him into the back of the SUV. If was FLOYD who refused that. It was FLOYD who jumped out the other side and to the ground. The officers made what they believe to be the prudent decission to just keep him on the ground and doing AS THEY WERE TRAINED us their own body weight to keep him under control for the any second arriving ambulance.

It is certainly a concern for me.

I was on alert for federal court jury duty next week but got the robo call today would not be needed. I've been on several juries at different levels. I think it's an experience every citizen should have to get a better understanding of how it works in court and how a trial is handled and the weight of your decisions.

Chauvin's employer said he ignored training, acted against department policy, and failed to heed entreaties from fellow officers, EMTs, and bystanders that Floyd appeared to be in distress.

    Good on you.
I have been kicked off of several. I got as far as alternate a couple of times. I am a bit to impartial for prosecutors forensic slide show since O.J. Simpson got off. LOL.

So where are we? The prosecution called the Minneapolis police, captain and UOF, and they testified. Don't know why they put the jury through the testimony of the guy from Los Angeles and the witness from New York, caught more of the former and the defense was getting him to admit he had never been trained in Minneapolis procedures and what was approved and not. What was wrong with their own officials? Well one is now going to be called as a witness FOR the defense, what a turn of events.

We have the "I eat to many drugs" and the fiasco of the prosecution trying to rehabilitate the lead investigators statement and the mere fact he had never listened to it........WHAT??

The defense got the various witnesses to testify to reasonable doubt in every case and certain showed that what has been drilled into everyone's head, the video the witness took facing Chauvin, does not give the accurate picture of events and witnesses admitting the the leg was across the upper back and shoulder as they are trained.

    So what's left?

Where is the medical cause of death? Isn't the usually one of the first witnesses, ME of County Coroner what every title they hold? You establish what killed the person and then prove the accused did that. They haven't touched that. And no the ER doctor did not conduct an autopsy to determine cause of death. He was speculating.

    When will the prosecution rest?

I don't mind serving and being retire even less so now, it can be rather boring waiting around and then interesting if you get a good trial. I can't imagine ANY of the judges where I have either been a juror or a participant allowing a trial to get so out of hand as the judge did in the OJ criminal trial. At least he was found guilty in the civil trial.

It was an "anything can happen" comment. I don't think Chauvin benefits from his lawyer eliciting that sort of admission from the cops.
Why would they have "backed away?"
The cops put him face down. Can we say he brought it on himself in the sense the cops weren't going to put up with him acting out? When they arrested him, the cops became responsible for his wellbeing.

Absolutely no relevance, because Chauvin did not kill nobody.

don't you agree that immobilizing someone's head by pressing on the neck muscles from behind cannot be a cause of death?

Relevant parts to what strikes me as salesman's half-truth. Your reliance on the ME smacks of desperation.
I'm just waiting for the prosecution case, then the defense.

Was he aware of Floyd's distress? That alone may make him guilty.

Did he die because his chest was compressed against the ground?
