How can an immediate family be allowed to get any sort of govt contract? Why should anyone in govt be allowed to profit at all from govt spending? Its basically insider trading. Should be illegal. If you own or a family member owns a business that relies on govt contracts, you shouldn't be allowed to essentially work for the employer of your family member. Its like deciding what your own raise would be without anyone telling you no=) Its totally ^*&$*# up.
My god, $35 million per mile to go from nowhere to nowhere. This boondoogle will be a money pit for California for decades if not for good. It is likely the final nail in the California coffin as well. But your post is what these projects are all about anyway: contracts for government cronies.
