I live just north of Brisbane and we've had 2 earthquakes in 3 days and I didn't notice any of them.

First was a 5.2 and the second was a 5.7.

First one was 100km off the Sunshine Coast and the 2nd was off Fraser Island. They were both felt as far away as the Gold Coast. Why am I not noticing them?!

I felt one of them. I initially wondered if it was a huge cement wall falling over but I've lived in Perth and know an earthtremor.

Mate - I have lived in 'The Isa' and if you live up here you will notice that they blast in the mine twice a day - you can feel the rumble

Which generated that venerable local joke- Why do women like living in The Isa?

Because the Earth moves twice a day!!
