Possibly. He was governor of Arkansas until Dec 1992 and assumed office as President in Jan 1993. So he probably went directly from the Governors mansion to the WH. They had investment property, like Whitewater, but perhaps not a private home.
My understanding is that is true. They didn't have a home to go to when leaving office which was why they had to shop for a place where Hillary could win.
Well, Clinton had been governor of Arkansas at that point for 10 straight years and 12 out of 14 years so he had no special reason to buy a home. Not to mention despite how Clinton loved to hype his "hometown" of Hope, AR. (fortunately named but a real dump in actuality, my sister has taught there for 37 years), the Clintons had no real personal ties to that or any other area of Arkansas. And Hillary Clinton was well known to absolutely hate Arkansas in private.
