Inspector General Is Investigating Andrew McCabe's Alleged "Stand-Down Order" on the Clinton Foundation Investigation -- As Well as the Clinton Email Investigation

    https://saraacarter.com/did-mccabe-issue-stand-down-order-on-fbi-clinton-email-investigation/

The Wall Street Journal story McCabe leaked in order to rebut that he was slow-playing the Clinton Foundation investigation.

Sara Carter's new reporting suggests he issued a similar stand-down order on the Clinton email investigation as well.

    Obstruction:

After The New York Times publication, the FBI Washington Field Office began investigating Clinton’s use of private emails and whether she was using her personal email account to transmit classified information. According to sources, McCabe was overseas when he became aware of the investigation and sent electronic communications voicing his displeasure with the agents.

"McCabe tried to steer people off the private email investigation and that appears to be obstruction and should be investigated," said one former FBI official with knowledge of the circumstances surrounding the investigation. "Now if the information on the 'stand-down' order is obtained by the IG that could bring a whole lot of other troubles to McCabe."

McCabe’s wife, Jill McCabe, a Democrat, had an unsuccessful run in a 2015 Virginia State Senate race, financed by a political super PACs connected to well-known Clinton Bagman, Terry McAuliffe.

Immediately after being fired McCabe sets up a defense fund. A DEFENSE FUND. The guy was #2 at the FBI, he knew what he did and he knew the world was going to come down on him because he put all his eggs in the Clinton basket and she lost. He needs to cop a deal and spill his guts before the midterms.

McCabe and Comey are much closer to indictment than Trump is, which makes sense, they are dirty scum, unindicted, felons.

McCabe shouldn’t have leaked, and it is even worse that he wouldn’t own up to it. But what was his leak about?

It was about more Obama-administration illegal scheming to rig the election for Hillary Clinton.

The tense conversation McCabe had on August 12, 2016, was with a Justice Department official the IG report identifies only as the “Principal Assistant Deputy Attorney General (PADAG).” That post was then held by Matthew Axelrod, top aide to Sally Yates, Obama’s deputy AG eventually fired by Trump for insubordination. Lisa Page told the Wall Street Journal that the PADAG was “very pissed off” because the Justice Department had learned that the FBI’s New York office was “openly pursuing the Clinton Foundation probe.”

Yup, the campaign stretch-run was upon us, and the oh-so-non-partisan Obama Justice Department was fretting that Mrs. Clinton could be toast if the public heard about yet another criminal investigation.

In point of fact, the FBI was not openly pursuing the Clinton Foundation. In congressional hearings, Director Comey had been asked if there was such an investigation, but — consistent with Justice Department policy — he refused to confirm or deny its existence. Indeed, the reason McCabe’s leak caused such consternation was that, by acknowledging the investigation, he violated this policy. But on July 12, McCabe pointedly told Axelrod that the FBI was not using overt measures that require Justice Department approvals; it was being discreet. That is what DOJ policy requires — not that law-enforcement activity be suspended during campaign season, but that investigators avoid open and notorious tactics that could prejudice a candidate in the minds of voters.

Discretion, however, was not good enough for the Obama Justice Department. As the Journal recounted, officials there considered the Clinton Foundation probe “dormant” and were angry that the Bureau was still “chasing” it.

With the Clintons, though, enough is never enough. Obama Justice Department officials, figuring they were only a few days from succeeding in their quest to become Clinton Justice Department officials, decided to try to disappear the Clinton Foundation investigation, too.

After nearly two years of digging, there is still no proof of Trump-campaign collusion in Russian election-meddling. But we have collusion all right: the executive branch’s law-enforcement and intelligence apparatus placed by the Obama administration in the service of the Clinton campaign. To find that, you don’t need to dig. You just need to open your eyes.

Inspector General Michael Horowitz released the report on McCabe earlier this month and is continuing to investigate the FBI’s role in the investigation into Clinton’s use of a private server to conduct government business. Horowitz’s team of investigators have been sifting through more than 1.2 million documents, of which 46,000 are connected to the ongoing investigations, according to several Congressional officials who spoke to this reporter. Of those documents, Congress has received a tiny fraction of the emails pertaining to their oversight investigations.

McCabe’s troubles began after the Wall Street Journal first published a story regarding his wife, Jill McCabe, a Democrat, who had an unsuccessful run in a 2015 Virginia State Senate race. According to campaign finance reports obtained by The Wall Street Journal, she received roughly $700,000 from political super PACs connected to Clinton Bagman Terry McAuliffe, a close ally and personal friend of Bill and Hillary Clinton.

McCabe, however, was closely involved in the investigations into the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton email server. Members of Congress began questioning McCabe’s possible conflicts of interest, whether or not he had properly disclosed his wife’s campaign funds and if he should have recused himself from the Clinton investigations.

It is later, in a follow-up article by Wall Street Journal author Devlin Barrett, Internal Feud over Hillary Clinton Probe, that Barrett refers to a possible “stand-down” order given by McCabe to FBI agents regarding their ongoing investigation into the Clinton Foundation. At the time, no-one, including former FBI Director James Comey had officially confirmed the investigation into the Clinton Foundation. McCabe, in an effort to salvage his reputation and rebut the claims against him before the story came out on Oct. 30, 2016, authorized a leak of a phone conversation he had with the Department of Justice in which he claims he pushed back against the DOJ, which he says was fighting against the Bureau’s investigation.

McCabe is clearly a felon. How long has the Horowitz been sitting on the evidence?

McCabe should have been indicted long ago.

What's the rush? Better to go a little slower and make sure you are getting it right than to do the massive faceplant like the dems did with the Dossier.

In this situation, NR does support the Borgies. And it will fail, also. Nothing new.

Of course McCabe did, him and that book selling shill Comey between the two of them and their suckups tore down decades of hard earned trust and confidence in our most prestigious law enforcement agency. It's disgusting how far the FBI has fallen. Between becoming politicized and in its incompetence. Add on the FBIs perfect willingness to abuse its power against its citizens as well? Referring to the recent Noor Salman trial.

We need to stop treating these high ranking law enforcement officials like they are above the law and stop letting them off so easy. A heavy hand is needed but no one seems willing to slap them down. It's frustrating

The fbi looked at the polls and made the call to spare Hillary. If Hillary looked like she would lose I bet they would have prosecuted her. Comey said that's how he ran the place. Nothing but shady political hacks running the fbi.

22catch, your propaganda above is that of the Alt Right borg.

No one in normal America believes any of that.

We need to stop treating Trump like he is above the law.
