Killing terrorists makes the world a better place. Same goes with pedophiles. So that begs the question, who did more good: President Trump killing a terrorist or Hillary Clinton killing Epstein?

The public attention diversion theory might be correct, considering that the event way back 1998.

But, on the other hand Iran with it's state sponsored proxy war is considered as the pain in a$$ for the peace process in the middle east, it coincides with the planned US troops withdrawal in that region.

How many pro-Western Iranians do you think there are? I'm sure they are a small minority. The US has tried to destabilize Iran ever since the coup d'état against Mohammad Mosaddegh in 1953. Mosaddegh was the democratically elected leader of Iran from 1951 until 1953, when he was replaced by The Shah of Iran. The Shah was nothing but an American puppet. Then in 1979 the people of Iran overthrew him and ran him and his family out of the country. That's when the hostage situation occurred.
I believe the US has been angry at Iran ever since the Shah was kicked out and they lost control of all those Iranian oil wells. Trump knows all this and figured he'd use this opportunity to re-ignite the fight with Iran. Also, it helps him kill two birds with one stone, because it helps deflect attention away from his impeachment.

The Iraqi government is now asking the USA to remove our troops from their country. What Trump did in Iraq on January 2, 2020 was wrong. I don't blame the Iraqis for feeling this way. The tragic part is that it puts our military personnel in an ugly situation that they were totally unprepared for.

We don't need Iranian oil anymore, so what are you talking about? You are an apologist for Iran so I have nothing to say to you.

One thing to add to this. There are over one million Iranian-Americans living in the United States. We can look at this from two separate viewpoints. Some will say they are a threat and should be feared. The other will say they are American citizens and we shouldn't fear them.

Who's right and who's wrong? The point is that this conflict with Iran isn't going to affect only Iran. The people of the U.S. aren't an isolated land far from wars as we were in WWI and WW2. Our allies around the world also have much to fear and that's why they're pleading with Trump to walk this back and use some diplomacy.

Of course he did the right thing. Ta Ayatollah said the president of the United State couldn't do anything.

The president showed ta Ayatollah that he could do something, and can do more in the future.

It is difficult to assess what makes the President Tic. It seems clear that he is impulsive and a bully. If he has a strategy, it seems to be all about him, & how it will effect him. We've all seen how he reacts to adversity, and his response never seems to have considered consequences, intended or not.

Many of us are waiting to see his comments this morning, and if he can follow the strategy on the teleprompter, and not ad lib, and allow the bully in him to leak out.

It seems Iran's "attack" was a warning, not an act of war. Will Trump's ego take over, or will he follow what has been discussed and written overnight in his address to the nation.

Framing of this poll makes it utterly pointless.

Just another TDS sufferer crying for attention from fellow TDS sufferers, echo chamber squared.

Cost you 2016 going to cost you 2020.

There were no major retaliatory attacks today that escalated into a full-blown war? Are you certain of that? :roflol:

Trump appears to be talking more sense today. Maybe his military advisors have talked a little sense into his head. If those Iranian missiles were able to reach American military bases in Iraq without being shot down, who knows where else they can reach? I hope Trump heeds Iran's warning.

Trump didn't stray from the teleprompter, I suspect his advisers did a bit more than put a little sense into his head. Notice his posture and speech patterns were quite different from his normal diction,

President Trumps only duty as President is to be a voodoo doll or dartboard for leftists. Anything he does beyond this is a distraction.

    1. Really? Sounds like Trump is willing to talk about impeachment any chance he gets. Nancy is the one sitting on the articles.
    2. Then why didn't he plunge us into war?
    3. If anything in this situation helped his re-election chances, it was the Democrats opposing the killing of a terrorist and taking Iran's side. Trump couldn't have planned that.

    Or did he...?

Yes . . . if there really was an imminent attack. With how often Trump lies, I won't take his word that there was an imminent attack, and he hasn't provided evidence that there was one, even to Congress . . . to which he legally owes an explanation for his actions.
