Please tell us what political-theater display that you believe Jesse Owens pulled in Berlin in 1936. According to Jesse Owens HIMSELF, he and Hitler waved at each other. Link (emphasis mine): https://www.history.com/news/10-things-you-may-not-know-about-jesse-owens

"Jesse Owens said (it was) President Franklin D. Roosevelt, not Hitler, (who) snubbed him!

In the immediate aftermath of the Berlin Games, a myth arose that Hitler, enraged at the triumph of an African American, refused to congratulate Owens on his victories because he failed to shake his hand. However, the press reported that the German leader gave the American sprinter a “friendly little Nazi salute,” and Owens said that the two exchanged congratulatory waves."

In fact, it was the conduct of Roosevelt– who never invited Owens to the White House or acknowledged his triumphs–that disappointed the Olympic champion. “Hitler didn’t snub me—it was our president who snubbed me,” he said months after the Games. “The president didn’t even send me a telegram.”

Note: after the first day of the '36 Olympics, Hitler didn't shake any winner's hand... German or otherwise....

The stuff surrounding Cassius Clay (a.k.a., "Muhammad Ali") was entirely different. This egocentric self-promoter was among the first to be leveraged by the nascent 'civil rights' activists of the 1960's, with varying results, good and bad....

That's where the woke culture belongs. Somewhere off the grid deep in a cave inside of Afghanistan. That way we can all get back to enjoying sports the way we used to enjoy them, absent the racist woke infections that pollute and plague every entertainment and sporting event it comes into contact with.

For most of my time at Leonard Wood, I was a DS with C-3-2 and D-3-4.

Yeah I watched some. I barely care who wins. I've never felt team spirit in general though, so I'm different in that way. Just some are entertaining to watch and some aren't. I've enjoyed doing archery, but watching pros do it is really boring. I don't do gymnastics, but they're fun to watch. It's cool the crazy things the best in the world can do.

Did you watch the 2020 Olympics?

No. I don't watch sports where people bring politics into the competition.

C-3-2 was straight Basic Training, D-3-4 was OSUT. One station unit training which included both basic and AIT.
