Given your best opportunity with everything in your favor you still failed to repeal Obamacare so now you own it!

You had your chance and blew it!

Wonder why she wouldn't have sent Huma...or Cheryl. Why a man.......sent under the still intact glass ceiling...to tell supporters to just pack up and leave, we'll have more to say in the morning.

She....and ewe.....sitting there watching returns.....how painful was it?

How do you intend to pay for a single payer?

No the VA is socialized medicine..the government literally owns the healthcare buildings, pays the doctors, staff and mandates which treatments are provided...that is nothing like single payer.

Well definition of single payer healthcare is system in which the state rather than private insurance pays for all healthcare costs, That's the VA. Every definition I looked up says the VA is a single payer system.

Yeah. And the result? Democrats pass a completely ineffective, unsustainable health care law, and Republicans avoid passing a completely ineffective, unsustainable replacement to that law. So which party is more effective?

Besides, I disagree with your characterization that Trump has "given up" on this issue. As your own timeline shows, it took the Democrats a bit more than 60 days to produce a cr*ppy law, perhaps it will take a bit more time to replace it with something that's actually effective. And yes, in the meantime, there's a failing health care system to deal with, which of course will be blamed on the GOP rather than the stupidity of the Democrats, which you so helpfully outline.

Medicaid Part A is 100% funded by taxes and premiums.

Why would it be any different for Single Payer?

Medicare is also a Single Payer system and it does not have hospitals and medical staff on the payroll.

Damn, doesn't anyone read. The poster stated that VA healthcare was not a single payer system. I showed he was wrong. Now you bring up medicare and claim it is single payer which does not make my statement incorrect,

    Single-payer healthcare - Wikipedia
Single-payer healthcare is a system in which the state, rather than private insurers, pays for healthcare costs. Single-payer systems may contract for healthcare ...

I know what common sense is and what's worth arguing. Semantics is devoid of meaningful reason most of the time. Like now. Your arguing the semantics of a post two pages ago. While I'm waiting to see if you'll argue the implications of such a stance. Which you cant, because its absurd.

Leaving the system wide open for manipulation. If I could tell my employer, or whomever signed my checks, what the cost of service was instead of getting what people can afford and are willing to pay, and industry wide that was the standard, not only would I be rich, but everyone in the industry would be rich. I could charge for all sorts of ridiculous consultation and processing fees and nickel and dime you to death. Which is of course what's happening.

    Capitalism vs socialism.

Did you miss the fact that I used the term "also"?

Vernan was pointing out that the VA is a "government run medical service provider" which is socialized medicine that utilizes Single Payer.

Not all Single Payer systems are "government run medical service providers" and I provided Medicare as an example.

Too many people erroneously conflate Single Payer with "government run medical service provider".

    Hopefully that clarifies the issue.

Obviously you have no clue whatsoever how Single Payer actually works.

and you dont seem to have an argument to the contrary. This is where the rules of debate are actually useful, in other words, prove me wrong or you concede by omission of argument.
