This practice could be used to solve two of the major problems facing us on Earth today and into the future.

First, it could solve the water supply problem. If we were to have huge sea locked reservoirs, with inlets into the reservoir from the sea, and having chambers inside the 'dam,' then we could easily solve the water supply problems with boiling the sea water.

By the same facility, we could solve global warming, by boiling sea water to become ozone, through it rising into the atmosphere and bonding with other oxygen due to u.v. or ultraviolet light bonding the oxygen together, to form ozone.

Both these processes could be conducted with a sea locked reservoir that opens and shuts the 'top hole' or funnel that leads water vapour out of the dam into the air to form ozone, or, into the reservoir to form a drinkable water source.

It takes a lot of energy to distill water. Also, boiling sea water does not become ozone. Where do you make up this stuff?

Correct. Boiling water cannot create O3, and O3 wouldn't help global warming that I can see since it doesn't affect CO2. But water can be "distilled" by solar evaporation. Would it produce enough water for a community? I dunno.

Another (lower energy) process is solar-powered evaporation and condensation of sea water, but it's a much slower process.

That is how nature does it.
