"The head of the Democratic National Committee on Sunday criticized Republicans’ unwillingness to criticize President Donald Trump while coming out against the commander in chief’s national emergency declaration to build a wall along the southern border."

"“The difference between Democrats and Republicans is: When we see people within our own ranks do things or say things that are antithetical to our values, we are not reluctant to call them out,” Perez said."

Perez is correct, even those that offer token criticism of Trump never vote anyway other that what Trump wants

Was time when conservatism stood for something, well, they said they stood for something, ie. free trade, family values, debt/deficits, Constitutional principles, but today, it seems that Trump has exposed their hypocrisy and the bottom line that they never really believed in any of those ideas

"Chair Tom Perez calls for Gov. Northam to resign: "Virginians and people across the country deserve better from their leaders, and it is clear that Ralph Northam has lost their trust and his ability to govern."

Got another deflection you would like to attempt?

Uh... no. Everyone is tribal, both Democrats and Republicans will look the other way or try to pretend that they were unaware of something stupid one of their peers did or said.

Hasn't been the trend lately, the Democrats have chastised their freshman Representatives while the GOP hasn't been eager to correct inanity in their own ranks

But the thread is about GOP leaders who say one thing criticizing Trump but never act on their "objections" when it really matters

What "hypocritical stand on the wall?"

Can't recall anywhere anytime any Democrat called for building a "big, beautiful, tremendous, thirty foot high, reinforced concrete wall," that is all Trump.

Democrats have recommended and passed legislation for border security to include barriors where deemed necessary, but never a "big, beautiful, tremendous, thirty foot high, reinforced concrete wall"

700 miles of walls. Call them what you want but democrats will not give Border Patrol the 230 miles that they requested of which only 100 miles is new.

Has our Democratic Governor resigned? How about the Democratic Lt. Governor who is accused of sexual assault? How about the Democratic Attorney General who dressed up in black face?

    Nope.

Are three are still in office, largely because Democrats are circling the wagons around them so the Republican Speaker of the House of Delegates doesn't get appointed Governor. Last I checked, 50% of Virginia Democrats supported Governor Coonman.

Given the choice between power and their phony pretenses they chose power.

    LMAO!

Who's on the line - the Democratic Ku Klux Klansman, the Democratic rapist or the Democratic Jim Crow-era minstrel? ;-)

How many Republicans are weak in national defense and are going to call Trump out on upholding the oath of office and defending America's sovereignty ?

In the case of the governor and AG, correctly so.... And even Fairfax is probably entitled to an investigation or some sort of ethics review before resigning....

That's the way it is, guys.... No more running from perceived problems... Welcome to Trumpworld... Enjoy your stay!

What was this thread about again? Oh yeah, Republicans refusing to call out their own.

    On target, Mr. Perez
