The problem is NOT the president but rather the entire left who are corrupt as hell and a special counsel is needed to investigate and indict THEM but unfortunately THEY are the ones who are above the law.

In reference to your question, I believe anytime we allow anyone to be "above the law", then we cease being a nation of laws & become a nation of men--meaning the only ones having rights of any kind will be the wealthy & politically powerful. Everyone else will be expendable. I am in agreement with you.

I believe history will show you just how wrong your comment is.

Trump continually demonstrates his disrespect & disdain for the established institutions of government, as well as America as a nation of laws, not men, as an important value. I think history will relegate Trump to the darkest regions of American history.

I suppose for those who, at their hearts, are the stateist type, they would agree with you. For the rest of us, I doubt that moving the country back out of the grasp of tyranny will have much disdain. The chorus of entitled elitists watching their carefully cultivated plantations dissolved, now they might have a few unkind things to say. I believe we can all endure them.

What tyranny is the tyrant moving the country out of? Tearing up international agreements is not an accomplishment.

The number one prime member of your "entitled elitists" is Trump himself. From my perspective, it's really confusing how anyone in the middle or lower social & financial classes could have ever been stupid enough to believe someone like Trump could or would do anything that would be in their best interest. I don't suffer from that illusion. And, for the record, Trump's plantations aren't dissolving. He's keeping a tight control over them while in office, making strategic decision that affect the entire country based on how & whether that decision helps his personal bank account. I've seen no evidence he ever cares who & how he hurts others in his pursuit of wealth. If that's the kind of guy you admire, then pity you. I've found nothing in him worthy of admiration, from his policies to his personal life.

Depends on what you mean by "all forms of prosecution." I do believe that the President is immune to being arrested and charged for crime by local, state or federal prosecutors. The only recourse to charge the President criminally is first to impeach/remove from office. When removed from office, then they can be prosecuted.

His staff can be protected by the pardon, although at the cost of the President's credibility.

I voted other, because it shouldn't matter whether the vote in this pole comes from someone on the left, or right.

Nobody should be above the law.

And nobody should be prosecuted because they are a member of one party or the other.

What criminal charges were Clinton or Nixon charged with by a state or federal prosecutor? None. The President can only be prosecuted after impeachment/removal from office.

I could be wrong, but I believe both were charged with obstruction of justice. Nixon was pardoned.

Was Clinton prosecuted (outside of by Congress in his impeachment)? I don't think so. I think he was impeached for it, but not removed from office. Nixon resigned and was then pardoned. Regardless, he was not charged by a prosecutor.
