We should all fear mental illness and the insipid virus of the mind that christ insanity subscribes too , Magical thinking and a history of violence not unlike what the radical Muslims are doing now

I have heard of this difference between the Quran and Bible. Though I disagree that it makes Christianity any better. Suffering for eternity in the afterlife because you refused to love/believe in/worship a diety or accept his son's "sacrifice" (Jesus in the Bible is saving humanity from a danger God allowed to exist in the first place) sounds far worse than anything Muslims could do in the physical world.

Not that I can recall. Not a particular religion, that is. I've considered the existence of gods - like most people, but came up empty.

I would submit that something like the Judea-Christian myths are only likely to 'scare' someone who was raised in an environment in which it was regarded as true. For those of us raised without religion, it's about as scary as the tooth fairy.

I'm of the belief that there are two or three things mankind is destined to never find the answers to, and the neural functioning of the brain is one of them.

Well, there is nothing like this in the New testament.

Some christian refers a lot to the Old testament. We don't care if I prefer to consider christianism at the light of the old or the new testament, what christian do matters.

According to the biblical fairy tale a person has to believe every word, without exception.

Luke 16:17 (CJB) = "But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one stroke of a letter in the Torah to become void."

2 Peter 1:20-21 (NOG) = "20 First, you must understand this: No prophecy in Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation. 21 No prophecy ever originated from humans. Instead, it was given by the Holy Spirit as humans spoke under God’s direction."

John 10:35 (NKJV) = "35 If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),"

The God of the bible is pretty scary and loves to eternally torment the majority of the population who doesn't believe in him, a God who refuses to provide good reason for his existence. He is also kind of a sexist, a fan of genocide for religious reasons, has asked for the punishment of non-believers, used generational punishment occasionally, and don't even ask me about the gays.

I am more afraid of Huehueteotl. He requires human sacrifices to him to be roasted alive and have their hearts torn out of their chests.
