Which as everyone knows is the only truly practical day to day run about if you get the 427 engine of course (7l)

My life was changed with the MS diagnosis and the active lifestyle once enjoyed and often taken for granted diminished severely. Part of my "New Path" involves an appreciation of the mind and desire to use it to full potential as well as the exercise of mental abilities and their growth. Forum interaction and internet research/reading have become a part of my new direction and understanding. I suppose this can be interpreted as "Having No Life" if someone wants to but I simply do not care....in this place I can trounce in a new way and have become quite skilled which gives me pleasure.

Certain health diagnosis have a profound impact on the direction of life, and while some may initially view it as sad, I view it as opening new horizons. Good luck to you, and may your horizons continue expanding.

Motorcycles. Ever been a track day kind of guy?

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, the greatest form of submission wrestling until Eddie Bravo improved upon it.

Even though I've wrecked 4 motorcycles, I was not involved in officially racing them.
However, I used to race bicycles, road & Criterium, aka "Crashterium", boxed, wrestled & played football.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu sounds interesting but my current inventory of artificial joints, old military wounds, injuries and other misc. maladies currently prohibit more strenuous contact sports.
    Good luck & be careful.

The fact that you’ve wrecked 4 on the street and are still walking is incredibly fortunate!

I’m a road map of injuries and surgeries , I hope yours is at least manageable!

Yes, I've been extremely lucky and would probably do much of the same dumb stuff over again if I were younger.
I was also a paratrooper in S.E. Asia (Laos) during the Viet Nam War and later walked / hitch-hiked around the world including the Mid East only to get caught in the '73 War.

Later, I helped deliver sailboats around the Caribbean, up & down the East Coast etc until I bought an old fishing boat which later sank with me on it.
I later worked on an Emergency Psychiatric Unit for a large inner city & was only stabbed once.
Many weird jobs later, I took up blacksmithing, have done that for over 20 years & currently have my blacksmith shop next to my target range but cancer & heart "issues" have slowed me down some.

I'm sorry about your injuries & hope your surgeries were successful in allowing you to continue to do what you enjoy.

I obviously believe in living life fully if not always wisely. It sounds like you do too.

Best of luck & welcome to the forum

Thanks, man. That's a hell of a story! I can't imagine being on a boat that was sinking, and I've been shot at as well.

I've always found things like smithing and creating things from raw materials to be rather fascinating. I'm bereft of talent so artists and people capable of such things have my utmost respect. There are some complicated processes involved and I imagine the failure rate is high at first. I'll keep up with this thread for more pics and vids, enjoy!

I really miss that creaky old, wooden boat as it was an ideal place to hide out from a particular angry, trigger happy woman but that's another story.

I don't think that you should assume that you are "bereft of talent" and it takes very little to make things out of steel.

You might be surprised at what you can make with just a hand held band saw and a simple arc welder.

I had no interest at all in blacksmithing until a good friend asked me to help him set up a blacksmith shop & soon, I was hooked.

I just learned by reading books, practice and ruining a lot of perfectly good steel making god-awful ugly things at first.
So, yes, the failure rate was a bit high at first but now I've got things that I designed, made, signed & dated in museums & homes around the country that will last for centuries.

Unfortunately, I lost all my photos when the previous hard drive died on my old computer but I've got some stuff I made around the house.

I think you'll enjoy this forum & look forward to reading some of your views even if they conflict with mine. I fully believe that mature adults can hold differing views & discuss them civilly & pleasantly.

    Enjoy your weekend...

If you go on a cocaine and hooker binge you might be able to activate the fun gene. It works best if it's not your money.

I have several lives I keep them chained in the basement ;)

It's a good video, the fact they drove it home was amazing.
