I am so sick of Comcast/Xfinity I could scream. I made the mistake of upgrading to the X1 Platform about a year and a half ago and that was a major mistake. My cable has been out since Saturday & they will be at my house tomorrow/Tuesday to replace some filter outside my house. I think I had the same problem about 6 months ago that required a technician visit. Not too mention the 2 hours I spent on the phone with their in-house idiots on Saturday. I had to run from room to room collecting the SN numbers off the boxes. Shouldn’t they already have those numbers?

I live in kind of a rural town 30 miles from Boston & it is not uncommon for us to lose power & cable for multiple days.

I have a generator, but I am interested in getting a indoor antenna with 50 mile range for these times when I don’t have cable.

Anyone have any suggestions on a good in door antenna?

    Get a smartphone?

I can watch my Netflix on there when the cable goes out, I don't really watch regular TV but I am sure there are apps for anything you want to watch.

We are using a rabbit ear antenna just sitting on by the television here in Santa Fe and pick up about 15 channels

At the cabin in rural California we pick up for channels. Two of them are in Spanish .No MSM news

Amazon has a banging outdoor rotating antenna with remote control for 30 bucks

a guy I know a hundred miles south of Albuquerque claim to gets about a hundred channels . But he has a good line of sight to abq

Terrain to broadcast stations are your enemy

I have a $50 indoor antenna on my wall. I had to move it around to bring in the best/most reception. I'm about 40 miles from one city with a TV station and about 75 miles from another city with TV stations. I get about 8 channels including Fox, a movie channel, and ABC. Being up high on a hill helps where the opposite is the case if you are in a valley.

Funny how TV has taken on the importance of a life support machine.

Go without TV for a week, it won't hurt you.
